“Shipping” refers to pairing characters up, be them canon or not. Lots of fandoms give names to canon pairings.
 
Take Pokemon: We have BalanceShipping (May’s parents in the anime), Franticshipping (Sapphire and Ruby from the Pokespe manga), and Gracefulshipping (Wallace and Winona, mainly in Pokespe). All of those are canon and all of them have names.
 
I think we should do the same for pony ships on here. What if someone wanted to look up, or even block, Cup/Carrot or Shining/Cadance.

As I do upload a lot of OCs, I’ve found that lately, whether I paw through my own uploads or others, I’ve noticed the increased use of the “donut steel” tag. Now, for OCs such as these abominations, I understand the legitimacy of the tag. But I feel like that it’s now being used more and more to take a dig at perfectly legitimate OCs such as this one or even this. Now, I understand that we all have a different definition for “legitimate” OCs. But these OCs have perfectly un-eye scarring color patterns (whether you think they’re good or not is a matter of personal opinion), and the second one isn’t even doing anything. What’s so “donut steel” about them? Would it be okay to remove those tags, and if so, what should be the conditions for removing them from future photos?

For those of you that were wondering (or even noticed) I know it may seemed I abandoned the ship like many others, but in reality, I’m pretty much dead.
 
Long story short, the trash bus came by two weeks ago with it’s daily routine and sliced several phone cables because they were too low for it to pass (If you need to know something about Mexico is that we like our light AND telephone cables stranded like they are used for laundry). And our precious telephone company hasn’t solved the problem, and the reason I am writing this up until now, is A: I’m an optimistic idiot who thought the problem would get solved fast… which it hasn’t and B: This last two weeks have kept me busy and until know I found time to post this one, which was meant for last week.
 
I know you’re probably going to say something among the lines of “Why should I care”?, “The hell are you, again?” and and so forth. But as I stated at the beginning, this is mainly aimed to those that are actually wondering what the hell happened to me (Which may only be 1 or 2) and because I really miss this place.
 
So hopefuly, I may return in a few days, or weeks. In the meantime, you know who this one is directed to: Keep that thread alive, I will come back.

I have no idea how many people have seen this extremely short series, but I decided to re-watch it twice, and I still love it as much as when I first saw it.

By which I mean, assuming the show carries on a bit, the amount of Twilight Sparkle images that have her as an alicorn is going to grow a lot and plausibly at some point overtake that of unicorn Twilight.
 
As it stands there is no site policy on requiring tagging Princess Twilight (or ‘pt’), but people generally do because jimmies are rustled furiously at the sight of wings on Twilight. With S4 about to start, we all know that some people are going to go ballistic at the influx of twilicorn content, most of which won’t carry the Princess tag because why should it.
 
I’m not deciding on anything, so just hear me out on this. I’d like to see the creation of a Unicorn Twilight tag to be used on images where she’s clearly not an alicorn, on top of the usual Twilight Sparkle tag. Stuff where you can’t see if she has wings or not (regardless of whether we know she doesn’t) would be tagged with just Twilight Sparkle.
 
More importantly, I’d like to have a policy whereby going onto an image and complaining about the lack of said tags counts as trolling. As would going onto unicorn Twilight images to ask where her wings are or moaning about wings or whatever on twilicorn images, regardless of whether the appropriate tags were there or not. Why have such a hard policy on that? Because being exposed to the content behind those tags is absolutely not a mind-scarring event. This isn’t like suddenly seeing a gaping anus among all your cute Fluttershy images, it’s something canon straight from the show itself; if you honestly have issues with the content to the point of whining about being involuntarily exposed to it, you may want to take a step back from ponies.

Okay, when I turned on my computer today, I get this message that my Data could not be fully restored. When I restarted, my desktop was practically empty, it was rather full last night when I turned my PC off. All my files are apparently still in my Comp, just out of place. My Bookmark for my Internet interface and everything reset… now I have to relocate all of those links…  
The computer was fine and nothing out of the ordinary occurred last night. WTF happened today?

Rarity: Fluttershy!

When I pressed the “refresh comments” button, it loaded the site’s front page within the comments window, with the error messages for “you do not have Javascript turned on” (I did) and a new, strange one that said “Sorry, I can’t do that, Dave. You may need to be logged in.”
 
When I refreshed the whole page, I found that the picture had been deleted while I was typing, which explains why I couldn’t reload the comments, but doesn’t explain the message. I decided to tell you about it, since it looks like something didn’t work quite like it should.

I know most of you have moved on to Pokeymans, but screw that noise. Let’s exchange Dream Addresses and talk about our favorite villagers and junk.

I’m not a technical person and I prefer to take images of sketches with my phone and upload them. Problem is, they keep uploading upside down. How do I fix this?

Is the ‘loli’ tag really needed? We use “foalcon” to refer to both underage ponies and underage humans.

Is it just me, or do these tags seem overused? I see them in pictures that have nothing to do with them other than that they came from there, something not apparent in the image.
 
I get using it on screencaps or things that specifically mention them, but in general the tag is being misapplied I feel.

Anywho, to the point! My predicament has been explained; lack of ideas. That’s where your creativity comes in! Just spit out an idea* and if I find it interesting, I’ll animate it!  
Keep in mind that these are SUGGESTIONS, not REQUESTS or COMMISSIONS. That means a plethora of things, but I’ll nail down the highlights. These have no cost, require no credit given, and preferably involve no OCs, only canon ponies. These aren’t requests, so not EVERY idea will be used, so apologies in advance if yours doesn’t catch my eye.

Even though they are quite amusing to me, seeing all the ridiculous whining, should deviantart stamp, which is 99% butthurt message created by slapping some ponies and text on a stamp, be allowed?

There’s no doubt that some people on Derpibooru are very uncomfortable with the sight of blood. Some legitimately like gore, but too much blood (I’m talking a practical bloodbath here) can sometimes make us feel, well, a little queasy. And sometimes, the artists behind these types of excessive pictures like to put something in their description along the lines of “it’s not blood, it’s ___!” The question is, if the “syrup” was actual blood, which would push the image to grimdark, is an image still grimdark if the blood is “fake”?

It seems to me the idea of creating an OC in the mlp community is scary based solely on the fact that it’s frowned upon if you create an oc in the pony creator or if you have certain excessories etc,etc. So I want to know, what classifies as a good OC or what do you need to have in order for it to be seen as a good OC? Becauseit seems the mlp community is very picky when it comes to the idea of OCs.

My understanding of the ‘explicit source’ tag is that it’s a warning for those viewing non-explicit images in case they go looking for where the image came from and burn their virgin eyes. It seems redundant to have it on images that are themselves explicit, but we currently have 56 images tagged both ‘explicit’ and ‘explicit source’. Is there some good reason for this, or should I go ahead and start stripping ‘explicit source’ from explicit images?

So I dunno how many people here write or something. But in the event no one was really aware this month is National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo. The mission: to write a brief novel of 50,000 words.
 
It’s been a couple years since I did NaNo, where my attempt came to a crashing halt when my copy of Word decided my subscription was over and crashed into Read Only mode for me. I have sense held off from doing NaNo for a number of reasons, mostly just being busy with school and work.
 
But considering I’ve ended up missing the scheduling deadline for my fall semester I decided to give it a shot again this year. After all, I consider the average word total per day to be something I can do easily, I do it regularly in role-playing, so it shouldn’t be too much of a time waster.
 
 
So I guess to anyone who is doing it this year, this is something of NaNo support or general discussion.

I feel so discouraged just so much hate on my OC it’s like I just wanna die this one guy is following and is complaining on two sites I go on. I just don’t need it. I just don’t even hardly like MLP anymore because of what this fandom became. It almost seems like making others feel bad is a goal in this fandom now! We aren’t bronies we are a disgrace to the word and I’m sure Lauren Faust would be ashamed of us turning down others ideas and crushing their dreams in the process.
