Both tags are for the same ship, and both on the same number of images.  
I’m leaning towards Shiningshimmer, since it’s one word. But I’ll leave it up for other’s to decide on the direction.

Well, Since the clothes are still technically there, just damaged. I’m thinking the implication works. For both “Torn clothes” and “Ripping clothes”.
 
But I’ll wait a day and see if anyone has any serious doubts about it first~

As fr helping: Just check if the image you’re looking at at the time has the tags it needs and add/remove tags as necessary. If you’re unsure if a specific tags is needed on a pic: Check the other pics under the tag, or let it sit. But otherwise the best help is just users taking the time to ensure pictures are tagged. If that means adding the “Pony” tag or others to a pic then that’s what it means.
 
Just please be careful not to engage in a tag fight with anyone. As in: If someone continues adding/removing tags that you feel do/do not belong on an image, do not just continue doing the same to that pic. In those cases, just report the user/image for the tags in question and allow a moderator to step in and handle the situation.

And several others. Not all of them are perfect. And the “Pony” tag is vastly under-tagged. [We are currently in the process of correcting this. But it takes time]
 
If you want to find more tags to help in searches I suggest looking in the Tags section of the website. Searching in there can help you find tags that apply for what you’re looking for. =)

Personally, I’d say that Transparent Background is only for examples like the last two in your post.
 
While the first 4 do have transparency in their background, the image itself does have something that operates as a background for the picture. It just doesn’t take up the entire shot.
 
Personally: I think those instances would be up to personal opinion on whether what is behind the focus of the image would count as a background or not.
 
The circle/colorful stripes such as in the Pokey Pierce and Rainbow Dash pictures, I’d say would not be transparent background, as there is a background in the shot. Whereas, pictures like this:  

 
I would say would receive the transparent background tag. Since, even thought the Lyre is behind Lyra. It’s not serving as a “background”.
 
In the end: I think the occasional miss-tag of fringe cases like these won’t be damaging, and easy to change if it’s decided that it should be the other way. So follow yer gut on em!

Whelp. This is my second ever attempt at drawin a pony by hand. [My other stuff is done in SFM]  

 
I did eyeball another pic of the same OC for the general shape of the head/nose/hair. But all in all I feel it’s not too bad for 30-odd minutes on a Post-it note~  
Biggest issue I had was with her glasses. They kept coming out lopsided or the right side bigger than the left~

Ahh… I didn’t think the gradient backgrounds were also identified by their specific color. That’s where my confusion came in.
 
Hmm… [shrug] I dunno. I just think about removing the “simple” tag in the case. Considering Gradient backgrounds only account for 1 thousand odd pics, while the various other colors [minus transparent and white grey and black] account for over 25 thousand. It seems easier to just remove “simple background” on the gradient pics it get applied to, rather than trying something more complicated.
