Hi, I drew Cadance smoking methamphetamine >>3048439 as vent art when I was craving drugs. I was hesitant to post it anywhere at all. After a couple months I posted it here anyway. I was unsure what rating tag to give it, but I felt like ‘Questionable’ was a reasonable compromise. I was pretty surprised when the tag was quickly changed to ‘Safe’. As someone who has consumed a lot of drugs, I don’t really think it’s a SFW thing. I wouldn’t want this coming up on google image search results, I wouldn’t want kids to randomly come across it. I believe that consumption of cannabis and alcohol are benign enough to be considered SFW, but hard drugs are a different story. They are harmful and can be extremely dangrous. Meth in particular is an insidious drug that destroys lives. Please reconsider whether this should be tagged ‘Safe’. I do not believe it should be. Thank you for your time.

they can always talk to people outside this website, but we’re talking about this website. there are many websites where such content is banned, for good reason. By hosting racist or hateful content you are potentially legitimizing it as an aspect of a given community, especially in the eyes of a newcomer or outsider.

It’s going to stop them from spreading a hateful ideology and recruiting people, especially young outcasts. If they fuck off to their echo chambers that’s fine, they’re not spreading it. They’re still going to be in those echo chambers either way.

Every society censors things. Sometimes it’s appropriate to do so.
You’ve bought into the idea that all censorship is bad as some kind of idealistic libertarian thing. This can be taken advantage of by truly hateful people to gain a platform, which I don’t think they should be given.

Well duh. This is why the Nazis did things like book burnings and executions of those they disagreed with (Also seen in Stalin’s Great Purge, etc). Removing ideological opposition to your stance is the best way to make sure the possibility of people challenging it is lowest.

I’ve never watched one and am not familiar with them. Looking them up on wikipedia makes the genre seem pretty disgusting. I won’t judge people’s kinks but you could get “sadism, gore, and degradation” out of something without nazis in it. If they glorify nazis (like a lot of aryanne art subtly does) then yeah they should probably go. This seems beside the point as I am focused on THIS community right now.

Normalizing Nazism and trivializing it into “just a cute pony bro” is, arguably, supporting Nazism. Neo-Nazis are known to attempt to recruit within communities for social outcasts (such as this one) using tactics such as this. It happened with punks, it happened with furries, it happened with bronies. It’s not right to sit back and let them.

Most people ARE fine with banning nazi content. The vocal minority is the one saying they want to keep posting hate speech under the guise of free speech. Hate speech is legally not considered free speech, by the way.

Cherry picking doesn’t make you right. But no, this is not the case, hence why we’re even having this conversation as if most people were fine with it there’d be no objection to the policies they wished to push forwards.
