Humans in Disguise (Reboot)

Long, long ago, humans and Equestrians lived together in peace. History no longer recalls how this era of peace ended, but what is known is that a small conflict on the east side of Equestria soon escalated into a full-out war between the two races that ravaged the land.
 
When the war was over, Humans had been banished from Equestria, and what few survivors remained were transformed into ponies. Some were accepting of this new life, others sought to regain the humanity they had lost. Some even say that there are humans still out there in hiding around Equestria.

Appearance:  
Human form- Light-skinned human form with dark hair, clad in a signature blue wizard hat and cape over leather padding, with a few small spellbooks strapped to his belt. Carries a halberd staff with a spherical red focus gem in the head.
 
Pony form- Unicorn with white coat and black mane, wears the same hat and cloak as the human form. Cutie mark is an arcane circle.
 
Bio: In the middle of a clearing in the forest on the outskirts of a village lies a tower from the days of the war. An eccentric unicorn wizard lives there now, practicing his magic and creating strange inventions he sometimes sells to the ponies of the village. Other times the ponies come to him for help, be it to commission a magic item be created for them, or to ask his aid in defending the town from some beast of the forest. The ponies of the village may be a bit distrustful of this Mad Mage and his fascination with human relics, but whenever something strange goes on he’s still the one they call.

(It might take me a while to come up with a character)

From the village, the top of Cobalt’s tower was at best only barely visible over the treeline during the day. At night, though, the top room of the wizard’s tower was often ablaze with eldritch lights of myriad colors as he performed his strange magics and arcane experiments. The nightly lightshows varied in intensity and duration, but tonight’s seemed to be running particularly late into the night…

Meanwhile, one of the ponies we watch tonight watches the light show, flask on one side, lack of fuggs to give on the other as she wanders toward the tower.

The top window of the tower gave him a glimpse of the interior of that room, but not much was actually visible from where he stood. Occasionally a shadow of a cloaked pony in a broad-brimmed hat would pass on the ceiling amid the colorful flashes of magic light.
 
Though occasionally the shadow seemed… off.

This was interesting, obviously. But still, pretty lights! Perhaps he’d get a chance to ask at some point, as curiosity was hitting hard, but it wouldn’t be a good idea to disturb a magician. That never goes well.

For a brief moment the light intensifies, outlining a decidedly non-pony figure casting its shadow on the ceiling, before a bright light forcefully explodes out the window, followed by clouds of smoke. The night is still quiet enough that coughing can clearly be heard inside the tower even before the unicorn wizard pokes his head out the window, gasping for air and looking rather singed.
