Wow, today was surprisingly long, but I think I can focus now.
 
So, last time I tried to make a roleplay, I failed to keep it going. It drove straight into the ground overnight. But, I think that was an error on my part for my lack of interest in the thread that I was unwilling to admit to myself or others. But, I may have an idea for a roleplay that seems to have gotten some interest over on Discord, and I just wanted to see if people here would be interested.
 

 
The story is that we were travelers on a ship that has unexpectedly crashed on an alien world. The roleplay would be us trying first to make sure we can stay alive on the world as long as we need to, before next trying to figure a way off of the planet.
 
I was thinking of inspiration from Subnautica’s story, but unoriginality would not fair well, so I was leaning more towards the side of an unexpected collision which damaged our ship, and the safest course of action was to crash onto the planet.

“Tech-level?” That is an important factor.
 
It would have to be a level of technology futuristic, obviously. Otherwise, what is even the point. I think the bigger issues becomes what it manifests as. I think the real question is do we have our characters lifting giant boulders with devices that allow them to do so, or do we just have it be like Subnautica where they mostly have a tool that allows them to access most fundamental information about any species just by scanning it briefly?
 
I was thinking more along the lines of Subnautica in the sense that you have the tools to make anything, but the real issue is getting the power and the materials to do so out of nothing but your bare hands.
 
As for technological levels of tools that you could make, I believe the most fitting would be a level of technology which would not be able to do too much on the world you are in. When I say this, I mean that it would have to be a level with only some benefits of survival that we would not have if we crashed there.
 
EXAMPLES OF WHAT WE MIGHT HAVE:

I just used those as ideas of what technology we would have. I know I am not the best at communications.
 
Basically, I want the level of technology that would be above the one we have, but not so far above that you get lost in it entirely.

Mm. Sure, that sounds about right. Though i’d say eschew anything short of the actual tools unless we happen to be coming down with them.

I guess it would be a matter of, “do we, or do we not need it?” as should be important in a survival situation.

It’s been ages since I’ve had to actually work, that I forgot what it’s like. When you’re worn out for the day, you just wanna come in here, and do your stuff. Now, I feel like I really have the motivation. Let’s get it started.

I’m open to making new RPs, I just like to bounce the ideas for them off of other people a bit before I make them. Unless it’s a joke RP, in which case, I will not hesitate.
