Changeling-dragon hybrids tag.

It occurred to me a while ago that, given the proliferation of certain ships and characters’ popularity, a tag for changeling-dragon hybrids – a draconic equivalent to changepony, essentially – might be useful.

Now, it appears that one such tag already exists, dragonling. I have my concerns about it, however, because while phonetically pleasing it seems easy to misuse. My worry is that it seems too similar to a term for infant dragons – the “-ling” suffix, by itself, typically denotes infant versions of something (hatchling, fledgeling, seedling, sapling, stripling, duckling, gosling, even changeling originally referred to infants who had been exchanged by the fairies for human babies). In point of fact, the only image to which this tag was added after the original mass tagging two months ago uses it to indicate an infant dragon.

My other thought was something like changedragon. It… doesn’t really roll off the tongue, but there seem to be fewer opportunities for misuse, and consequently less need for constant monitoring and upkeep.

Thoughts?

• dragonling: This one has the advantage of seniority, as there are already forty images tagged as this. It’s also the nicest-sounding option. However, as said, I think it sounds similar enough to a generic term for baby dragons to cause confusion.  
• changedragon: Clearer and less room for misunderstandings; it also has more continuity with changepony. However, it’s somewhat clunkier and doesn’t roll of the tongue as well.  
• changeling-dragon hybrid: Clearest and least room for misunderstandings. However, it’s also the clunkiest option from an aesthetic point of view.
   
  I’ve decided to go with the advice of putting this up to a poll, which seems like the most democratic way of doing this. It’s set to end one week from now – I think that should give people enough time to pitch in.
   
  Regardless of what the final tag ends up being, the cross-implications should end up being the same – it would have to imply hybrid and interspecies offspring and be implied by all relevant parents:* tags, which can be sorted out later.
