So do we separate the explicit ones or the safe ones?
equestria girls
tag and humans. Since my last project involving them kind of horribly backfired, I was thinking of making up for it by helping clean up the tag. Now…to my understanding.equestria girls
, and instead be tagged with equestria girls (movie)
. winged humanization
. I can’t seem to find an alternate tag set specific to equestria girls aside from just tagging wings
. If there isn’t one I’m fine with it. Just want to make sure so that I can tag accordingly.

ponied up
, or possibly ponied up, wings
.feral
tag, I think that a tag designed to classify non-anthropomorphic characters on this site is redundant in the extreme. I really don’t see the need to go through and tag every image with one or more non-anthro ponies in it with a tag especially for non-anthropomorphic characters. To begin with, almost every single characters in any and all official material – with a few exceptions like Catrina, Capper, the Storm King and the Klugetown lot – is either a full human or a “feral”.You’re gonna need to explain in non-wonk detail what “feral” means to all the non-furfriends in the audience, it means something different to the general population.I still think the human tag should apply to every EqG character– since, y’know, they’re all Humans, and anyone searching for or spoilering against uppity primates probably includes the EqG cast in that lot– but I get sneered down any time I propose it. There really should be some kind of tag that applies to their winged/horned power up versions that’s separate from winged / horned humanization, though; I guess winged humanization, -ponied up might work, but it’s kinda clunky.
human (equestria girls)
as the tag rather than simply equestria girls
human (equestria girls)
-> human
human (equestria girls)
. Even if the tag isn’t changed it would still be beneficial to do this for the current tag. equestria girls (human)
to equestria girls
at least temporarily. To clear up the tags. At worst what’s in it is still the same amount of mistagged as what it was before but the meaning is more clear.@Parasprite
Use sex tags. Gender tags are, unless etymologically equivalent to sex tags, entirely useless for practical purposes due to being both subjective and not derivable from content of the image.
I will admit I’ve never been entirely clear as to what to tag images of EG characters reinterpreted in a more “realistic” manner. It would seem logical to me to tag them as humans, but apparently that’s not how we’re supposed to do things? I think?Regarding the argument with theferal

But “feral” characters as so clearly the default state that I really don’t see the need to go through the site’s backlog to tag them all as such.
