The example linked to doesn’t mention show characters needing the offspring tag if they’re shown with their parents (ie Parents:NightVelvet isn’t used for images with Twi and Shining in them if their parents are with them there).

Sadly I can’t. It seems to have become an unwritten rule which doesn’t do us much good. I strictly recall that being in my mind when I asked about putting parents tags on canon characters in instances of them being adopted in fan works and having it in mind that I was asking that because we weren’t going to be putting those on characters head canon-ed to be children of other characters, but again, that’s just my memory.
 
I could have sworn someone asked about that citing Dinky specifically, but now I can’t find the post.

I’m seeing a lot of pony tagging going on actual horses. Is this intended, or is it really only meant to be MLP-style ponies?
 
Ah! I see the culprit. stallion on human female (tag is pretty much all explicit) and the like tags are implying pony. Err, there’s a ton of these “Equestria girl + horse” pics getting tagged with it.
 
If stallion doesn’t imply pony, then stallion on human female definitely shouldn’t.
 
There’s a pile of these stallion/mare/filly/colt on * tags (and images) that will need to be reviewed.

This doesn’t look like it was made with a vector-based program (he used Deviantart Muro, actually… not sure if that’s vector based but I don’t think it is) so it shouldn’t have the vector tag?

You mean like if someone attached an additional off-site image in the description?

Image descriptions should not go above the image’s tags or include generally filterable elements (ie. fetishes not seen in the image).
 
If there are such descriptions, please report them; we’re an image gallery site, not a fic+image one.

Yes. Some people even mistag images because of that misunderstanding. It’s kinda annoying but what can ya do?

Okay, so is it me or does the character on the left have an obvious pair of breasts? I tagged it as such, but the uploader/artist removed the tag. Also, I don’t remember if it was resolved as to whether otherwise semi-anthro characters with breasts got bumped to anthro or not (the semi-anthro tag still states the characters can’t have breasts).

At first glance, AJ has anthro features (breasts) and stands like anthro. On another, she has hooves instead of hands, and it also match to semi-anthro.

Sorry for bringing this back up again, but the only one I’ve noticed under there that brought anything up in regards to OCs for it was Nightjack, not to mention, others being mentioned in that thread are pointing to characters that don’t have any official offsprings outside of officially married characters.

What is this tag and do we need it? Seems it was made and is being maintained by one person.

It’s like needs more jpeg, a sarcastic tag that identifies low quality images to make them easier to filter out.

Yeah, I gathered that, but needs more jpeg has a pretty clear use and has been pretty consistently applied by my experience. This tag’s all over the place. If even half of the images under “needs more saturation” look over saturated, I think that’s your monitor/phone, the image is fine.
 
And if only one person is applying it, it casts doubt in my mind that anyone else is using it.

“Needs more Jpeg” is a meme; I think that would be a more accurate definition of it.
