I think the number of people who will be able to tell the difference between them will be low, and what with “cartoon resolution” being inherent in most art (along with fanartists and actual artists probably not knowing either), this will be an uphill battle to both police and teach.

I have no idea, and I kinda always thought it was the same thing in context to derpi due to how lamias get “ponified” to have a pony head rather than a person; kinda like the case for MLP sphinxs’. Would love to have some clarification on that.

There was a whole thread on snake pony tagging in this forum a few months ago. I gave my opinion there but I don’t know if it ever went anywhere.
 
I think word cloud is probably the best. Word art exists but I don’t know if it should.

If we’re getting there, I’d like to point out that straw specifically is the grassy stalks and leaves left over from threshing cereal crops. Hence the golden colour and rough texture, since cereals are harvested once the plant is dead. Hay in contrast is harvested when green to preserve the nutrients. The picture is borderline useless, because both hay and straw are dry, hollow, and often (but not always) not-being-eaten by a horse. The colour and the texture (and use as bedding) are basically the only reliable features to tell them apart, since straw is occasionally fed to livestock (including horses) when roughage is required but hay would be too rich.

I’ve probably asked this before, but is there like a tag or series of tags or even a worthy name or way to avoid seeing images that address the viewer with specific pronouns or other gendered terms?

Emphasis on ‘all of them’ I don’t wanna be called a man but I also don’t wanna be called a women, just prefer to know how to purge these from my searches. :v

One can also argue some people may like this concept, and want a tag to watch.
 
The image has “implied brony” tagged, but that’s probably going to miss some cases. I think Damaged’s suggestion on “assumed viewer gender” may work, but not sure if there’s any weird edge case that would apply, and not be “POV”.

Or you know, not assume tags are just for hiding and filtering and can be for searching and watching too. Not like sexy has any objective merit or reason, and it exists.

pov:male and pov:female might be an idea for something shorter, and they could also be used to imply pov.

Issue with those is that male and female POV exist already as tags that imply different context.

Eh, issue with that is two separate tags and then needed a third one to unify them.
 
Maybe something more basic like talking to viewer or talking to you.

Or even second person? That’s what it’s called in writing when you have the reader as an actual character in the story.

Right now, I’m just uploading deviantArt preview icons, since SWF files are not supported (and deprecated). Is there a tag for “adobe flash content in source” or something similar?

Can we get a description added to hypnotized to make it consistent with hypnosis because right now it implies hypnosis, and I keep seeing people tagging mind control stuff with it (which leaves the image tagged both mind control and hypnosis).

Should I mass tag every “Pony life” image with bean mouth?

Making pony life drama and g4.5 drama tags so anyone who wants to miss all the pissing and moaning about Pony Life can spoiler/hide them.
 
Also, g4.5 -> pony life and g4.5 drama -> pony life drama, when somemod can get around to it, since Pony Life is pretty solidly the new G4.5 in between FIM and G5.

Or its G4.1 and there will be 9 more miniseries before G5. Or its not a G at all and more of an EQG spin-off. Deciding something is “gen x.[foo]” is almost always a hindsight thing.
 
And I’m not a big fan of creating tags that triggered individuals can stalk looking for another opportunity to shitpost or troll. We’ve already got enough of that going on.

There are a heckton of people in the comments so far who are solidly in the “I’ll wait and see what this new thing is like before I decide to hate it or love it” camp, they really should have a tag they can block so they’re not subjected to all the whining and pants-soiling that’s gonna be erupting over the next few days/weeks/months/ever. We’ve been through this needlessly hyperbolic arglebargle before with Alicorn Twilight and Equestria Girls, we should really be making an effort to provide everyone who’s patently uninterested in all the drama with simple tools to avoid having to see it or get involved in it.

Drama tags almost invariably end up with people using them as a means to stalk and encourage drama and arguments. As a mod, I found that a significant chunk of R0 reports I was dealing with came from drama tags, and were made against people who clearly only came to the discussion because of the drama tag. Strangely enough, it was always the same people turning up…
