Is this the place to talk about OC name tags?
 
According to Kat Stenson’s tweet, her character’s name is “Stoney Poney”. Therefore,
 
oc:Stony Pony should be aliased into oc:Stoney Poney “(yes that is how it’s spelled, her parents were probably high when they named her)”
 
Likewise, oc:Stoney should be also aliased into “oc:Stoney Poney”.

(For the record, I do not smoke marijuana, and I never will. I’m neutral in all other aspects related to the topic, but I’m a big fan of accurate tags, which is why I’m making this post, regardless of the subject matter.)

Also Gina and Clementine will need to be swapped as aliases, since Clementine’s name was spoken out-loud by Angel-as-Fluttershy in “She Talks to Angel”.

Cherry Gold, Cherry Stallion and Mando Cherry all refer to the same stallion, should imply each other and should be character blue.
 
Example image could be this. Description if you’d like one: “Background stallion of unknown origin only seen in Equestria Games who looks identical to MandoPony except for the cutie mark.”

Hmm. Do we absolutely need three tags for a background pony with two images who’s apparently only shown up in one episode?

That definitely seems like the audience outnumbering the band; I’d say condense them to mando cherry and move on.

I’m going to leave Cherry Gold because that’s what the wiki uses.

Seems reasonable in the absence of any compelling reason not to; the wiki is essentially the same level of fandom authority for actual show content that Derpi is for fan art and FimFiction is for fanfic.

The only “unofficial” thing the wiki does is propose and vote on placeholder names, which then sometimes through no input by fans, get officially used. Everything else the wiki has is a documentation of official information.

That and both the other names were stupid.

I think the reason that hasn’t been done is because “Sergeant Reckless” was a real individual, not someone’s OC. We don’t do that for characters from other series (with the exception of Them’s Fightin’ Herds) or for real people.
