I can see why that could be a problem. Personally I’m neutral towards Pinkie being pansexual. But I do agree that stereotypes are never a good thing to have. Personally I was never a fan of Asian Twilight because of that reason (I always saw her as black TBH. Though that might be a little bit bias on my part since I’m black myself and Twilight’s my favorite of the main six.)

There’s nothing wrong with genders or sexuality, it should be accepted, but it’s headcanons like these which are in a way, actually offensive.  
Something like, gender, sexuality or race should not be characterized by something like personality.  
For example, Pinkie is pansexual because she’s always happy and outgoing, Twilight is Asian because she likes science and math. Not all pansexuals are happy and outgoing, and not all Asians like sciences and maths.
 
People can have headcanons like these just because, for no reason, which is fine, you just randomly thought of it, whatever. But when you connect it to something else, like with my examples above, it’s stereotyping. Which a lot of SJWs do, since they think labeling cis, trans, and different sexualities is all good when they don’t realize discrimination itself stems from labels.  
I don’t know if the artist here is doing the first, or just because, but stereotyping is usually what happens.

Ssssshhhh, don’t tell people that, they need more stuff to fuel their tumblr hate train ( I hate tumblr, but I can admit the other side can be just as annoying. Plus, if they aren’t the crazy SJW side of tumblr, im willing to listen to what they have to say as long as their not being an asshole.)

You’re talking about biological sex. Gender identity is mental, but for the most part, it tends to correlate with your sex, even in those who are LGBT. However, there are people for which their gender identity doesn’t match up with their biological sex, and they fall under transgender (simplest to know; their gender is the opposite of “what it should be” as defined by their sex), agender (there is no gender identity), bigender (there is a digital shift between “states” of gender, with two distinct states [hence, digital]), genderfluid (there is an analog shift between “states” of gender, with a broad spectrum of states [hence, analog]).

Can you not. The term gender, as used by those terms, refers to the social norms and expectations surrounding physical gendering; ie. if you have a vagoo, you must like pink frilly dresses and romance novels, if you have a peewee, you must like sports and fixing cars.

I know they’re popular/exist mostly on tumblr, and people are free to use those labels to describe themselves, but it’s still physically impossible to be genderless or more than one gender without some kind of drastic surgery. There’s male, female, and sometimes intersex birth conditions (which isn’t really a separate sex in and of itself) and nothing else. I’ve heard the arguments against this claim but they usually boil down to “sex/gender doesn’t exist and is subjective”. One person’s reality is another’s ‘fantasy’.
