Yeah I think Spike’s younger than everyone but Sweetiebell in there but it is not unusual to see relationships in irl where the male’s younger anyways.
 
If I may point out I don’t really think there’d be a ember+spike because they live far away and don’t really have much in common, as much as inter-species could be something “wrong” to some I do think that Spike is more likely to end up with a pony since he lives with them, maybe sweetie bell is yet too young and they only ever had like super few moments together right?
 
as we seen in many episodes Spike genuinely likes Rarity and no longer hides it from her so were her to actually ask him out I doubt he’d refuse to go out with her.
 
Starlight and him has less chemistry going on however they have been good friends ever since she moved out to the Castle as well as this point of living together does increases chances of liking each other that way.
 
Ship Spike and Twilight is just wrong.

Well, Ember probably is older then Spike, at least. Going off of visual cues, she’s definitely designed to look more like a 14-15 year old girl and acts a bit like it, too, while Spike is designed to look closer to a child/tween. Now, apparently Jim Miller just tweeted that he considers Spike to be chronologically 16-22 because dragons mature slower, but is mentally 10-12. If we assume a similar rate of growth and Ember seems mentally about 15, she’d probably be chronologically closer to her mid-twenties. Technically, then, she could be at least as old as Rarity.

Grown up mare interested in stallions has little chance over a teenage dragoness. I seen some hardcore Sparity shippers jumping toward EmberSpike like BerlinBrony Andy who used to be pissed at McCarthy rejection of Sparity. I think its clear from the way writers wrote her that they want to get rid of Sparity question in the upcoming conventions and repalce them with EmberSpike questions.

No, problem is that some people use “False dichotomy”. Instead of saying “We finally have Emberspike now, yay!”, they say “Emberspike means no Sparity! Ha!”. Which in turn annoys other people, even if they are okay with Emberspike, and ship both ships. All those “husbando thief/jealousy/heartbreak” art is not helping.

Those shippers who cause most drama are the one who ship fairly focused friendships in the show:rarijack, fluttercord, sparity, marblemac etc. The problem with spikelight is that it was just a casual interaction in aim to lead Starlight to Sunburst. If anything Spike was a wingman to Sunburst/Starlight ship which was the main focus of the episode in the first place. Newly introduced EmberSpike had actual meaningfull and bonding experience along with adding a character closer to Spike’s age, which is why people prefer it over Sparity.
 
 
Comparing MLP shipping wars to Naruto and Avatar is only adding fuel to the fire because that would imply that any of the main shippings is going to be canon which encourage both shipping groups who ship same character with different partner. We would really get lucky if just one of them were official. Not to mention other 99 ships.

Likewise, saying that he’s not over his crush without canon evidence is based in their heads. And what you listed as “evidence”, is not in favor of any romantic crush remaining. At best its your interpretation that is no more solid canon than any other assumption.
