I agree, I would have liked to see Larson’s original concept for the episode. That said, I still like her as a character, and I think she’s had great moments since her change.

The implementation obviously. I mean, of course she’s the main character and all, and would probably get some type of “Character Upgrade”. But just the fact that the biggest character change in the entire show happened in 1 episode, not a 2 Parter, Already shows the lack of planning that when into the whole alicornification, It was done only so hasbro could have another princess toy to sell. and the fact that her treebrary had to be completely destroyed so hasbro could sell that castle Playset, Gotta make that money first, Who cares about character development.

I have no problem with Luna’s design now but I still wish to see her old form. All those flashbacks were the perfect chances and they were never utilized.

Heck I much perferred the old Sunset Shimmer’s clothes and style. Seeing her with lighter colors as a pony it just felt like she’s aged.

If you insist on viewing it pessimistically, who am I to stop you? But OCs can and do undergo changes all the time without being considered “dead” or “dying” (terms that I’ve always found unnecessarily bleak for the circumstances tbh)
