That is your opinion regarding a real-life person. I do not think you are correct in your assessment but I don’t want to drive it off-topic. In my opinion Neighsay was a very poorly written character especially by MLP’s standards. MLP was meant to be a children’s cartoon with a more mature standard for show-writing (but not political by any stretch). We moved from a cutesy cartoons about saving an idyllic land from dastardly monsters to setting up a multicultural school because…why? Hasbro wanted to sell more toys?

Right, but I still think that’s a better fit for the spirit of the show. Racism is a thing people do more than a thing people intrinsically are. You can stop doing racism and become a better person, as Neighsay did. And I think that’s a better, more hopeful message than just “Some people are just hateful and lost and wrong and there’s no helping them.”

I doubt it’s that black and white bit whatever. In a cartoon you have definite heroes and definite villains. Neighsay had to change so the story could play out as it had to.

Unlike Trump, Neighsay learned the error of his ways though.
 
If he was meant to be a one-for-one parody of Trump he’d have been unwaveringly racist (or speciest-ist I guess) to the end. But in the end, Neighsay was a sympathetic character who was was flawed but not irredeemably stuck in his ways.

That is taking a statistic out of context. To better understand why that is the case one has to look at crime rates. Not low-level crime because that’s usually difficult to verify, but murder because a crime is known to exist.  
When grouped by race, murder offenders in 2018 constitute 4884 “white,” 6,318 “black or African-American,” 312 “Other,” and 4821 “Unknown”

How about law-enforcement officers feloniously killed?  
In 2018, out of 55 total, 31 were killed by whites, 23 by black/African-American, and 1 by Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander  
Note that “white” includes hispanics.
 
From this one can deduce that violent crime more often involved black offenders. This likely resulted in greater necessity for law enforcement to respond which lead to a disproportionate number of deaths (though this is still less than the disproportionate impact on crime).

I don’t know how you can project your values into a fantasy world, but the reformations were circumstatial, things happened that don’t happen in reality. And yeah, she was cast into stone. Perhaps not permanently.

Chancellor Naysay was basically a caricature of Trump. In the leaked show notes Tara Strong actually wanted Twilight to say, “No, Mr. Trump–I mean Chancellor Naysay.” And I meant to say shipping Lyra and Bonbon as canonical lesbians/giving Scootaloo lesbian aunts, not because it was in any way relevant to the plot but because cartoons in the late 2010s really liked putting in homosexual characters for social cred. One can make arguments for either side in that case but I really don’t think doing this is appropriate in a children’s show. A show for adults, go wild, do whatever you want, but anything political ought to be left out of children’s entertainment.

The difference between Season 1 and Season 9 was that Season 1 had a few non-ponies who were treated as guests. It was still Equestria and everypony said everypony. In Season 9 Twilight basically threw open the floodgates and pretty much said that Equestria was for “everycreature.” That’s a pretty stark shift.  
Also I don’t know of anyone who complained about the redemption of villains (because it’s a children’s show and teaching your kids to forgive their enemies is a good moral), except that keeping Discord a villain longer would have been better narratively. In a hilarious inversion for the finale, it was /mlp/ which saw a literal child being encased in stone as horrifyingly against what the show stood for, while the Derpibooru community was largely saying “she deserved it!”
