No. Anything in the comics is one way or another in conflict with events in the show and a hard comment made by the writers is that “If there is a conflict between the books and the show ,the show’s canon wins”.

I have a question since I plan to read the comics: Did the show adopt anything from the comics and thereby dub them canon? You mentioned the Babs Seed thing but I don’t know what that’s all about.

Afterall, we let the show control the full canon ending, and a few seconds later, everything that was ever built up was destroyed in g5, with it only slightly recovering hundreds of years later.

I prefer a lot of wild and diverse ideas and stories, some good and some bad in the comics, over the constant disappointments the show gave us in the premiers and finales.

The reveal that everything in g5 was g4 just fallen apart after Twilight became the main princess is…par for the course for the g4 show honestly.

Take anything from the comics as canon, cause you can almost guarantee the show wasted it otherwise half the time like Luna and Sombra who were completely worthless in the show.

Also, Babs Seed got her inspiration for her cutie mark between episodes in the comics, so some of them are definitely canon.

Sorry, I’ve never read the comics, I only watched the TV show.

Well, according to the episode about Fluttershy and builders, nepotism is good because friends understand your commands better. And according to the Twilight’s lesson for the rainbow power key, one must blindly follow friendship as if it is some religion and trade any rational chance of saving Equestria for “saving” friends by letting them live under invincible and treacherous Tirek. Neiher Twilight, nor Celestia do not need to be good rulers. They are there because in this position they act best for achieving goals of an unfathomable intelligence known as the Tree of Harmony and spawned by Starswirl a millenium ago without any known precaution.

Now the question is what happened to make this power incapable of stopping the conflict? Or was this turn of events also its plan? Just like banishing Nightmare Moon instead of curing her right away might have been.

One of Celestia’s worst traits was never learning from her mistakes and setting up countless villains to appear angrier then ever.

As many have pointed out, turning the three last villains in stone basically showed that Celestia was okay with making the same mistakes from eras before, to bite the next generation in the ass.

However, one of Celestia’s greatest strength is keeping solidarity. Celestia inherited the kingdom not long after the era or Clover the Clever and Star Swirled the Bearded. She may have dealt with singular powerful people badly, but she was able to keep the masses united for over a thousand years. I give credit where credit is due.

Whether Twilight is a natural leader or not is debatable, but she is NOT a natural ruler. She was a hyper dependent brown noser for the entirety of the the main series with very little charisma, and the idea of her fighting a calamity that worked partially on a social level is laughable. Heck, her very existance as a new Alicorn and the new Ruler of Equestia is a solid case of nepotism from most perspectives, so her dispelling the idea of unicorn supremacy and other dividing ideas with her skills and her background is a no go.

I will reiterate, that this divide and calamity is entirely too vague as of yet, and seems nearly impossible as I stated earlier because of the nature of G4 Equestria. We are still waiting for a fully indepth explanation how this new alicorn erased a thousand years of cohabitation.

Seems to me Princess Celestia draw in a lot of attention of monsters to herself and to Twilight, including to those who oppose against her ideals, because they don’t care about friendship or harmony, they only care about power too much, they’ll crush anyone who’ll refuse to accept their ways and not Twilight by causing hatred, war, violence, slavery, bigotry, nihilism, revelation and genocide. Just as how what Queen Chrysalis, King Sombra, Tirek, Grogar, Storm King and Cosmos wants it, including to that wicked unicorn became dark alicorn years later in the future. Equestria’s menacing monsters to pony and other creature society, if they continue to do this more further, the chance they’ll be walking to a path of death without forgiveness and mercy.

I’m gonna have to say that Celestia and Luna shouldn’t have retire and pass it on to twilight to become ruler of equestria. So I have to agree on this one.

So I’m probably making a guess it could either be one of the Dazzlings name adagio because the sirens might managed to find a way back, queen chrysalis since she was breaking free from the statue and so that means Tirek and cozy glow might escape too, or maybe one of twilight’s student who wanted power and wanted to ruined friendship.

I mean…the three tribes have been marrying each other for hundreds upon hundreds of years. We’ve seen this many times and Mr. Cake confirms this has been going on for countless ages.

At a certain point, even calculated mass hysteria (which humans are still vulnerable to) can’t start a race war if their hasn’t been a distinction for eons and countless families have parents with two of different race.

Heck, Mr. and Mrs. Cake’s children are proof that the point of no return was ages ago, their bloodlines are already so intermixed that nothing but super magical reality warping and mind bending could cause the 3 tribes to be separated again.

Quite ambitious

The shadowy alicorn is almost similar to Belos from the owl house when he set the whole thing up about wild magics, lying about the titan, and branding the witches with sigils to wipe them out through the draining spell. The alicorn on the other hand was lying about the ponykind just so she could make all of them turned against each other just so she could rule equestria.

The only big mistake Celestia made her life was pacifying Discord if you ask me. But I know even Celestia fans are in argument over her decision to pass her job to Twilight.

She may be a villain but she really likes flowers apparently. I just find that funny.

I mean, imagine CHRYSALIS pushing into a line so she can buy some roses for no other reason than she likes them.

And to think Tia and Lulu deciding to retire from ruling Equestria and passing it all down onto Twilight Sparkle was a big mistake from the get-go, huh?

So I just read this arc and I have to say, WHAT WHERE THE WRITERS THINKING?! The Mane Six just let this alicorn be a shit to everypony and didn’t do anything? I know they are more busy as older ponies but I’m sure they would still answer calls to protect Equestria’s unity!
