Purely in a physical sense. Though Twilight likely goes against that. So no, they are all more powerful when this event happens. They have all that experience, and they are even all in a position to do something about it completely without hinderance. They’ve never been stronger.

Also your view of history is terrifying if you think that the next generation is 1000 years down the line, or a more realistic 100 years. The ones to take over and make things better are supposed to be only around 30 years younger than the last. There is not meant to be a bad lot of generations that destroy everything so that the next can rebuild. That is not how the world is meant to work… Even if that does match up at the moment. And so maybe the G5 cast are meant to be relatable by being the generation to fix the world. It still makes little sense in the pony world though when the end of G4 was not just progress being made, it was progress accomplished. They were at the end result of all their hard work. You’re not meant to go backwards from that. We never had life so good in real life which is why it lead to things that allowed progress to revert here.

So it is bad writing, at least until they pop out the twist surprise that explains fully how the Mane-ificent 7 were actually bested.

Twilight may be immortal, but the rest of the Mane Six grow older and less fit to deal with world ending scenarios all the time. All empires will eventually fall and crumble with time, no matter how successful they were. Time withers things out all the time. It’s what it does. Nothing lasts forever, but it doesn’t mean anything people have done in the past is meaningless or moot. It means they built a world where the successor in the future can find hope to fix it again, by looking to them as inspiration because they know they won’t last forever themselves. It’s the same reason why we learn history. We use it to learn from the past and fix and improve the present and the future. If we have to fix everything people in the past have built, does that make their efforts to build this world moot? Does that mean it’s meaningless to learn history? If they didn’t even attempt to build it, would we even exist right now?

So the Mane 6/7 at their most powerful can’t fix something that they fixed in a weaker state several times before? No, the writing is bad sorry. Again, G5 is supposed to be built on G4 and it has made a terrible mistake in making all of the girls accomplishments moot. It’s as if G4 was all a mistake and these 5 are going to fix it all instead??? BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

I read and seen that comic and I actually agree IF they connect it together. They have yet to connect the comics with the story (which really upsets me). I mean, they managed to link Equestria Girls with it finally, so why not the comics?

If it’s actually her she caused the separation, replacing harmony by hate, violence, nihilism and genocide, having monsters to roam freely to render friendship asunder. I think the reason the Knights of Harmony or should we call them Knights of Disharmony lead by Danu warned them about future warnings, still they seriously wanted to kill Twilight, Discord and everyone, wanting to take the whole world or universe with them.

That’s not what we’re doing. I love the G5 writing, however the premise is what’s terrible. The characters personality and charm CARRY G5. Seriously, this is like the most slap to the face story that erases all the effort of G4.

BUT the characters are just chefs kiss fantastico! They definitely pop in 3D too.

For real, there’s no sarcasm, no matter what story they’re in, these guys stand out so much! :)

Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean is bad writing.
