I can confirm that. Even his Voice Actor says he imagines Flash to be a big dork (and a huge nerd), albeit the lovable kind who’s trying to find his place in the world.

Well, it’s mostly that I don’t think he’s as genuinely “cool” as he’d like people to believe. It’s like he’s actively trying to make himself look like a cool dude bad boy, but it’s mostly superficial. He has the spiky hair and jacket of a bad boy, but not the attitude to back it up.
 
As you said, he’s a dork.

I can hardly look at him without seeing someone trying too hard to make himself look like an ideal boyfriend. It was seriously “Arrow of Love”? Really?
 
Other people might think he’s just a generic highschool boyfriend, but that’s just too far.
 
He’s a guy TRYING to be the generic highschool boyfriend, with a fucking checklist or something. Gotta have the spiky hair and jacket to suggest just the right amount of badboy, be a musician to seem all deep and stuff, and make dumb love songs to show his softer side.
 
What a fucking poser, though he seems sincerely into his music to some degree.

When the glitter was dropped on him.  
He went all “TIO CUIDADO CON MI PELO”, which is roughly spanish for “DUDE BE CAREFUL, MY HAIR”.
 
Honestly all of the shorts were wonderful. Too bad there’s a language barrier for many…
 
Flash Sentry’s suggestion was to feature his song (called something along the lines of Arrow of Love) written on the banner, in order to welcome Crystal Prep with the “universal language of music” (hence the bits of air guitar)

I couldn’t quite figure out what was going on. I mostly just noticed him bitching at the Hippy guy and doing finger guns. Only character I can clearly see is that he likes to look “cool” and play guitar.

Character development and expansion never hurts.

I never found him unlikable either (except in RR when he was mind-controlled into being an ass) but I never found him likable, either, until now. He’s always just been kind of… there. So yeah, it’s nice to see some signs that they may give him legit development and expansion now.

They… They made Flash Sentry halfway likable.
