The game is built on a Skullgirls engine, which is known for being extremely hard to modify, so it would be impossible to do many things anyway. Aside from that, devs don’t wish any major mods to happen with the game. As far as we can go with anything pony are color palettes, which were added by backers who crowdfunded the project.  
I’ve already seen multiple people talking pony mod of the game bajillion times, and no progress so far. And I would rather it stay that way.

What frustrates me the most is that they could have had a game as inoffensive as Animal Crossing with a MLP coat of paint and people would have eaten it up, but Hasbro REFUSED to allow any games to be made.
 
Allegedly, this is due to them deciding to worship the disney starwars license in making toys for them in droves. A move that… well, it backfired spectacularly since no one buys the disney starwars toys and the literal clogging of the market of them cause MANY toy-selling store chains to close doors forever.
 
Again, MASSIVE missed opportunity.

It’s not so much profits, not directly, as it is trademarks. If a you have a trademark, you have to defend it or you lose it. Now defending doesn’t necessarily mean aggressive litigation, but lawyers will be involved at some point. If hasbro’s lawyers were sensible, they could have pursued some for of limited scope waiver or a limited scope license to use the marks in question - like Lucasfilm have done with Star Wars fan productions in the past - or they could have acted like shysters chasing a fat advance, burned everything down and ploughed salt into the earth afterwards.
 
At least we got a decent game out of it.

The problem is lawyers. Firms like Hasbro often outsource IP protection to legal firms, and these largely operate on their own, issuing takedowns and sending threats without asking the IP holder first. Often, they charge based on how many things they take down, so they’re overly aggressive.
 
The firm that Hasbro used that took this down, and the Button Mash series down, is no longer used by Hasbro.

I still don’t understand what they were so afraid of. If they’re worried about “corrupting their brand image” or whatever, the internet already did that many, many times over. Adult pony crap is all over the place and in easy reach of children with a browser. If they’re worried about these games eating in their profits, Fighting is Magic wasn’t even going to make any money off its production. Hasbro is such a gigantic company that they could have easily absorbed whatever minor profit games like this would have made anyway. I know their line was something like, “The game wasn’t consistent with Friendship is Magic’s lesson of friendship and understanding” or some shit like that. Once again, have they seen the internet???

What is greatest about this is how it is its own thing, not constrained by the iron fist of Hasbro and free to grow. I mean, MLP: FIM was good enough to air for 9 seasons and have a theatrical movie. And how many games did it have? Yup, none unless you count the phone game (which I don’t), all because Hasbro put the banhammer on all of it.

You know, I took a look at the Steam forums a few minutes ago, and it feels like the devs haven’t looked at Bug Reports or Feebdack there at all recently. Right now, I think they’re paying more attention to the equivalent channels in the Discord server.

a ton of us on steam already mentioned the Ai issue for story mode, the ground hit thing is in my opinion a problem as it mainly effects Arizona for if she misses a rope or anything with some end lag her ass is about to go from ground to sky in 3 seconds, it’s like watching someone falling down a ladder in reverse.

Your feedback has the greatest chance of being seen if you post it in their official forums, the game’s Steam forums, or the official Discord server. You can leave it only here if you’re not too concerned with them getting it. They might see it.

They need to balacne the story Ai a bit as well as finish the rest of the chapters, besides that (my own opinion here) maybe not let people get hit on the ground as over half of the cast can just send each other from ground to sky in 3 seconds and gotta say since this game doesn’t have a sort of burst system (like Blazblue) to get out of a combo you can get dragged to death in seconds especially against the AI, last small opinion issue is certain hitboxes.
