Ok, I’m ready now… While I do know a little bit of the backstory. I’ll skip ahead to when I received the bottle. But the gist of what happened before is basically I received the bottle from Sunset as a friendly gift sometime after the Friendship Games were over. I wouldn’t learn until after I was genified that this was in turn a gift to Sunset from Pony Twilight who had kept the bottle despite having declined geniehood. Basically it seems I’m from a universe where the Genie Pony Twi here went back to normal. Though she seems completely unaware about a mirror portal to a human parallel universe nor does she know a Sunset Shimmer who’s done what she has in my universe.
So one night while I was in my room working with some lab stuff. I accidentally bumped into the detector that I once used to read the signal coming from what would turn out to be a portal.which turned it on. And it started detecting something. Which was weird since it never detected something inside my house. At first I was thinking it could be detecting remaining magic from inside of me after everything that happened at the end of the Friendship Games including Midnight Sparkle… and indeed it was detecting a rather strong signal when I pointed it at myself.

But it seems there was something else in the room emitting a faint signal. And wouldn’t you know it, it was the bottle. Maybe I shouldn’t have gotten this way, especially what trouble that cursed device I made caused. But my curiosity was peaked. I started poking at it with some tools from the inside. Then I closed the topper and realized the bottle was kinda dusty, So I started rubbing the dust off when suddenly my hands glowed, which startled me. The bottle dropped to the ground with the stopper still in place. But now the bottle was glowing, I picked it up and was just at awe. Just what was with this bottle?
I felt like I could just open it up again to inspect the inside again. Though when I opened it, the glow faded away. Which disappointed me because I was so interested in what that was. I left the bottle on the ground and was going to start heading for bed when suddenly I tripped, shoes falling to the way side. At first I thought it was just a clumsy fall on my part until I looked at my feet, or rather lack of feet when I saw they had combined into a singular smoky tail that was fast reaching up my legs, while also extending towards the bottle!
I tried as hard as I could to struggle against the suction, but within moments I was being pulled into my labcoat. My glasses fell at the moment too, so to make it all worse I lost my vision.
All that was really left at that point was getting completely sucked in. Where I would remain for 3 Days.
The next thing I know, I awoke from the bottle to the sight of Sunset, though without my glasses she was quite blurry. But just by her voice I could tell she was both supremely surprised and relieved. Apparently, there was fear that I had gone missing, a search party that my parents started with the Police even got going. Sunset had feared worse then that had happened. So she was just happy that I was ok.
But then came the whole genie question, Sunset was so puzzled she knew she had to at least go back to Equestria briefly ask the Pony me about this. This actually prompted Pony me to come over as well about this. They both felt so sorry, as it was passing down the bottle that had indirectly caused this. It was already too late to change back. But I reassured them, that I felt it was more so my fault since I decided once again just like with that device of messing with things I didn’t understand. And there’s no way either Pony me or Sunset could of imagined there was ever a slight chance of it being able to genify again. But I did get the warning signs through that detector. In conclusion, all three of us felt at least a little fault for it. Pony me and Sunset said they’d do anything to help.

But for now I felt the best course of action was to try the best to go on like normal for at least a little while. Being a genie also made me a slight more paranoid about the idea of Midnight taking over. So I rarely actually granted any wishes, other then small simple ones that would only take a second to pop up something out of thin air. That’s changed since what happened at Camp Everfree. Pony Twi actually asked to study the bottle and revealed that a lot of the magic was depleted, I had just somehow amplified it enough to allow it to genify again. But I didn’t get quite the same magic boost that she had received for the time she was one. Though that certainly didn’t mean I was weak, as things like shapeshifting and teleporting became as easy as a snap of the finger. Now that I’m more confident about myself fighting Midnight from within, I’m actually a little excited experimenting with such magic with Sunset and of course using it here in this dimension. So I’ll definitely see how this all takes me.
