Maxilla Rex hails From the Apexia Changling hive. A crowned prince under his mother the infamous Hestia, Maxilla left his hive in order to grow strong and learn of the world. So he may one day return to his hive, slay his mother and take the hive for himself. Maxilla does not seek this out of hatred for his mother, on the contrary he holds his mother dearly. The Apexians view themselves as the strongest and mightest of Apex Predators and only the mightiest may rule there hive. The day he severs his mothers head from her body, he knows will be the happiest of days for her. Though a changling the apexian mimicry works diffrently then many other hives, instead of perfectly copying the looks of another, they consume there traits adding to a list of d.n.a they can pull from turning them into behemoth monsters. Maxilla aims to make his catalogue limitless.
