I love the series, though I just watched up to season 3.  
I mostly like the standalone episodes rather than the alternate universe story arc and all.
 
The Observer is like an easter egg in some episode XD

On a side note, I haven’t watched/been watching the final season of Fringe - is it worth it? It’s gone kinda downhill recently…

I don’t know anything about Fringe, but I can definitely see a resemblance (and binocular cutie mark = observing?)
 
The comic has much more blatant pop culture shoutouts than the show, so it easily could be. I’m hoping to see Andy put some kind of Haunted Mansion reference in there, since he also did a comic for that.
