Sounds groovy. Do you recommend giving it a read?
I don’t know if Mainlander’s works are in English yet. They’ve mostly always just be in German. He may have been just translated into English, but that was a couple years ago I heard about that.
In general anyone who’s read his sole work has come back saying he’s very good. I would recommend it, if only to know how you feel about him.
Who’s the fella on the left? I don’t recognise him.
Philipp Mänelander as a pone.
German depressed boy philosopher from the 19th century who wrote all of one book before commiting suicide. Sort of the Schopenhauer of Schopenhauer but ironically more endeared with human life and its fragility than Schopenhauer. Known for such fat lines as:
God has died, and his death was the life of the world.
Sounds groovy. Do you recommend giving it a read?
how you know that’s what happens when ponies die?
