Description

An overwhelming majority of you guys wanted to see Lokie’s animalistic behaviors and/or traits, so here ya go. Just remember, you asked for it.

——————————————————————————————————————————————

  1. Some of you might remember that when Harmony was born, she only spoke in cute, squeaky bird sounds til she was about 1-2 years old. The same thing happened when Lokie was born, only instead of avian calls, it was the softest, tiniest, little kitten ‘mews’. Even his crying sounded like cat howling at times. When the two were still foals, they would babble to each other in their respective animal noises. Even to Fluttershy’s trained ear, it all just sounded like gibberish, but that never stopped them from squawking and mewing with each other for hours on end.

  2. You’ve probably caught on by now that Lokie’s most dominant animal trait/behavior is feline. This was extremely prevalent during his early years, to the point where Fluttershy at times believed she had actually given birth to a deformed cat rather than a dracony cub. Due to his cat-like nature, Lokie was naturally drawn to yarn balls, particularly Fluttershy’s knitting yarn. He never could resist pouncing on the unsuspecting creatures, although he usually missed and fumbled and found himself tangled in string within 3 seconds, only to yowl loudly for his mother to come rescue him.

  3. Another cat instinct Lokie had a hard time resisting was the urge to chase bird and butterflies. Sometimes he’d be out in the garden with his mother, just minding his own business, when all of sudden something catches his eye. Next thing he knows, he’s run half way up a treee chasing it and he’s slipping and he doesn’t know how to get down h e l p !

  4. Big surprise number 3: Lokie hates water. It’s cold and sticky and makes him itch and shiver and he will do everything he can to avoid it, but sometimes those summer storms just sneak up on ya. He doesn’t like to admit it, but he’s a big baby when it comes to being wet and often he acts like he’s near death rather than slightly soaked.

  5. As he got older, Lokie grew out of most of his cat like traits, or at the very least, learned how to control those pesky instincts. However, somethings never change, like his insatiable urge to clean himself…….with his tongue……..and purr……….yeah. This habit of his embarrasses Lokie, making it a very private thing that he does, especially as he got into his late teens, as seen here.

  6. Lokie’s not a one-pony show, though. He’s got some dragon genes in him too. This is where his fire-breathing ̶s̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶b̶a̶l̶l̶s̶ sneezes come from. Lokie can breath fire, but he refuses do so, mostly because he has no reason too and becuase he doesn’t want to hurt anypony. However, whenever he’s sick with a sinus infection, he can’t help letting out a little flame.

And if you think his sneezes are soft and kitten like, then you’re dead wrong. Lokie’s sneezes are often louder than his own normal voice and sound like a roaring train speeding through gravel.

  7. Also due to his dragon-ish genes, Lokie has a bit of a…well…a bit of a hoarding problem, you could say. He tends to keep everything and anything, and Fluttershy routinely makes him Spring Clean every three months. His family has given up on changing his weird habit and so long as he keeps his hoard tucked messily away in his room, they don’t get on him about it…..usually.
