Description
This was a commission made for Christopia 1984. I enjoyed working on this piece. There’s been tons upon tons of drawings of Rarity as a Dragoness, so I wanted to see if I could play it a bit different. Hopefully, it’ll look like a proper Rarity Dragoness, without looking the same as any other.

Yep! Raridragon has 154 pics on the tag for a reason, it is a very popular idea, and has been since almost the start of the fandom XD And ever since Ember appeared, fusions, recolors and the like with her have been popping up a lot. And there’s been lots of great artists and interesting takes on it. Like >>482789, >>1679143, >>1201993, >>2092730 and >>1150095. And truly, I feel a quadruped one would’ve been interesting, but the commissioner wanted something more ember-esque, so I had to use more of her poses anatomy and a few of her details like the rhomboid scales and whatnot. But I didn’t want it to just be that so that’s why I worked on adding other dragon details that vary a bit from the norm, like the clawed wing and feet, specifically with the heel claw, or the nose horn, and a more draconian take on the unicorn horn bit of it, as well as getting some Spike elements with the ear… thingies. And well, of course the Rarity mane on it is a classic, but I decided to at least change the back of the mane and the tail to be a bit more unique.
