“Walk of shame”? I very much doubt that Twilight feels anything less than tremendous pride at getting to spend such quality time so close to her beloved Nightmare. She’d be more likely to strut on out of there, flashing everypony she sees that knowing look that says “I’m more awesome than Rainbow Dash right now”

Since there’s no indication that she’s read the book yet, I would imagine that this is the part where Luna is exerting control. Notice how she’s closer to Luna’s coat color then the solid black of Nightmare Moon right now. Pretty sure Luna is doing her work now and is also giving Twilight the opportunity and reason to stay there and take a peek at some books.

Regardless if this Twilight is unwilling to read the books, I’d like to think she’s smart enough to know NOT to try it while Nightmare is nearby.
