Uh-oh! Looks like Earth is about face a new crisis!

been reading this since mid book 1 of BOE on deviantart and still love reading it ^-

Never said he was a saint, or pleasant, but it’s not like he went around killing/maming anyone like in some fics, he just acted pompous, screwed with ponies’ minds, (like making Big Mac think he’s a dog) made chocolate rain, dropping cryptic hints to toy with Twilight, and was just being a cosmic troll basically.
 
Honestly, he was kinda silly even for a villain, and alot of fans seem to forget that aspect of his character.  
Not saying silly villains can’t be dark, (look at the Joker, or Dr. Robotnik) but Discord was never all that super-grimdark like fans oftentimes portray him as. He can be a li’l dark at times, but honestly, compared to Chrysalis, Tirek, Sombra, or the Storm King, Discord is basically the Ice Cream Man.
 
It would be more of a disservice to the character to ignore his silly/lighter side, as well even when portraying him during his more villainous days. He can be dark, and silly.

Just don’t go too far in the opposite direction and assume that Discord was never a dark character either. We’re talking about someone who felt that the appropriate solution to your friend spending time with someone else was to banish that someone else to an alternate reality. And that was AFTER he “reformed.” Before he reformed, he really WAS unrepentantly evil as can be seen in multiple examples in the show. It would be doing a disservice to his character to portray him as anything else in this story. If you want to see good guy discord, you’re following the wrong series.

True, but I kinda tire of the old headcanons that Discord is a darker character then he actually is, and such. Especially, sense some are kinda hating on Discord lately over the finale, and such, and trying to argue he’s the one that doesn’t deserve to be a “good guy,” and such.

This story is meant to chronicle the creation of Equestria, per its title. Discord didn’t reform until MUCH later.

I kinda hope this isn’t going to turn into another “Discord is dark, and unrepentantly evil” story, because I kinda tire of those, and they’re kinda outdated sense Discord’s reformation.
