Aes was offering character doodles, and I managed to snag one of my own. This is my character Starry Skies.
 
Bio info/bit of AU explanation:  
Starry Skies is the daughter of Twilight Velvet and Nightlight, making her Twilight’s sister. She was conceived during The Longest Night (Nightmare Moons return). When Discord was unleashed, his chaos magic caused changes in many unborn foals in areas that he influenced, such as Canterlot and Ponyville, the most noticeable of which was the children being a tribe other than their parents. Thus, she was a bat pony, while both her parents were unicorns (sidenote: could also explain Pound and Pumpkin).
 
Although she was loved and cared for, Star being a batpony made it a bit difficult for her to fit in. What’s more, she grew up seeing her older siblings as heroes, and hearing about how much they accomplished. This led to a bit of an issue for her. She loved her siblings, but their success had created impossibly high expectations. Ones that no pony could ever live up to.
 
As an adult, she became a member of The Shadow Bolts: a secret organization created and led by Princess Luna after The First Changeling Invasion of Canterlot. Mainly, her job is to seek out potential threats to Equestria, and eliminate them before they can actually become such. To that end, she has done as much, if not more, to keep the country safe, but with most of the citizens ever knowing about it.
