Big Macintosh still remembers those days. He didn’t even want to fight in that war for supremacy between the unicorns and the care bears. The earth ponies weren’t involved in the war at all; it wasn’t his fight. But the draft forced him into the Canterlot Legions, and they sent him off to fight in their war.
 
It was his first engagement, and his unit was forced onto the front lines. In the midst of the chaos, a magic spell that had been cast from across the field struck his face as his unit charged forward, knocking him to the ground. When he came to and realized that he couldn’t open his left eye, something snapped in his mind. Everything changed. The war he had hated had become his own.
 
Those damn care bears took his eye, so he swore to take everything their society held dear. He was there when the capital city of Care-A-lot fell. Even as the enemy fled from their homes, mourning the loss of the society they loved, he felt no compassion for them, no sympathy, no pity. Even while the terms of surrender were being sent, the legion he was a part of continued to raze the city. The treaty stopped the war before his hatred could wear off. Still angry, he returned home to a world that didn’t know what to do with him.
 
Years passed. Macintosh settled back down and returned to his old life in Ponyville, but his hatred for the bears and the life he now lived continued to burn, and might have burned forever, if it had not been for his future wife.
 
Pinkie Pie, over a long time, broke through the thick carapace Macintosh had grown and helped him to clear away the bitterness and finally come to terms with his loss and his former enemy. She may have learned and felt what true hatred is and what it does to a soul, but also what love is, as she helped Macintosh push through his bitterness and learn what it means to forgive and love. Two years passed, and he married her. With each filly that was born between them, he saw more good in the world, and the residual hate faded even more.
 
Big Macintosh still remembers those days, but he no longer hates his former enemy. His eye will never be restored, but he has forgiven the ones that took it from him. For the first time since the start of the war, he can feel happy again. Perhaps one day, with his loving wife and children by his side, he may return to Care-A-Lot, not in the name of war, but for the sake of peace, to help them rebuild their city like he has been rebuilt.
 

 
…I just spent the last hour of my life writing the basic plot for a fan-fiction based on a ship drawing and a joke comment. I need to get back to studying.

And so I was the only one who thought Big Mac was a Demoman.  
Feels sad.

He lost his eye in the Great Care-A-Lot Wars

I’ll tell all y’all how Big Mac lost the eye! He was too close to Pinky when she was birthing fukken TRIPLETS!

Is there a tumblr for this or something? I know someone made a comic. I don’t know who started this whole pinkiemac story after she takes Applejacks job in last episode of season 3, but I like it.

Or maybe he has an eyepatch because this is a Strange Alternate Future. Hence, beards and eyepatches.

My guess is he either broke a Pinkie promise, or was trying to make a very important Pinkie Promise to pinkie pie (Similar to what Twilight did) and took his own eye out.
