Both have a fantastic library of games, but if I had to choose, I’d go for SNES. I mean, c’mon, Mega Man X muh dudes.

I am human, hear me err.
On the one hand, hoof, whatever, I already have a SNES. I also have another machine that has and allows me to play all the games for that system.
 
On the other hand, if I understand correctly, the Genesis included a cache of audio as part of the hardware, and games that took advantage of that played better than games that didn’t. And, I have to wonder if that didn’t hurt Sega in the long run. Still, the Genesis did have several good games, as did the SNES.
 
This is proving to be a more difficult choice than I thought it’d be.

Genesis. You certainly wouldn’t find stuff like Splatterhouse 2 or Castlevania: Bloodlines on the SNES.
