Note: The following is my headcanon and my version of how I see my humanized versions of the MLP characters and does not affect the show itself. If you don’t like them then oh well.
 
Juanita “Rainbow Dash” Gutierrez is an athletic Mexican tomboy. Her father was the coach of the school’s soccer team ( or football for some of you I really don’t care) and her mother came from a traditional Mexican family. Juanita’s mother was very conservative and wanted her to be more ladylike, but after hanging out with her dad and wanting to play with the boys, it didn’t seem like it. Juanita was the rebellious type, always getting into trouble and fights, cutting her hair and dying it rainbow colors (Her hair was originally black) getting a few piercings and this would infuriate her mom with the two barely on speaking terms. Because she is a tomboy and she dyed her hair rainbow she is often mistaken for a lesbian often being called a “dyke” which she hates and will beat anyone who calls her that. Despite being into sports, Juanita is a total nerd and history buff. She looked up to her Great Grandfather who was a member of the Aztec Eagles, a Fighter Squadron of Mexicans in World War II who fought in the Pacific theater. Because of these pilots she wants to join the US Air Force, to be able to soar through the sky. She has a deep hatred for bullies and will fight anyone who picks on anyone weaker than her, that is how she met her best friend, Bahiya Ansari. Because she was picked on for being Muslim, she rushed to her rescue. Then of course me the Queen and new friends, didn’t get along at first but learn to trust them. Juanita got the Element of loyalty which gave wings to fly and electrical powers. She was so excited! It was like a dream come true. She can fly at mach 4 speed and able to use lightning strikes shocking her enemies. Juanita is the Scout and flyer of the group. She searches ahead to see what trouble awaits or she finds it for herself.
