Meet Whippoorwill, the youngest of Derpy and Dr Whooves! Just like his mother, Derpy, Will has the same visual impairment. The two of them suffer from Strabismus, which means they are unable to align both eyes simultaneously. This causes Whippoorwill to cling to his mother (especially during infancy and childhood). He is just as clumsy as Derpy, if not more, and acts chipper even if he runs into a door. He tends to keep his frustrations private, not wanting pity from his friends when he regularly sees his mother getting so much from everyone around her. He is accident-prone but is able to laugh at it, and constantly making jokes at his own expense. Fortunately, that works well for his line of skill. Whippoorwill is a freelancing comedian, bouncing to and from small venues around Ponyville while he tries to work up his reputation as a stand up guy. His set is usually made up of quips about himself, his life as a disabled person, and the hilarious things he sees on a day-to-day basis.
