Well, I don’t know why fans who have first watched the season three finale titled “Magical Mystery Cure” believed that they killed off Twilight. But turns that she’s still alive. This is possibly the same reaction that happened to fans who have first watched the My Little Pony movie which make many fans believed that she’d end up as Optimus Prime in the Transformers movie. But she did end up as Duke in the G.I. Joe movie because both Twilight and Duke were nearly killed off in feature length films based off on cartoons. This could explained that Duke was initially conceived to be killed off in the G.I. Joe movie and would be inspired by the death of Optimus Prime in the Transformers movie. However, when the Transformers movie was released first, many fans were traumatized and upset about the death of Optimus Prime. And the fan back lash and fan mail sent by many fans about Optimus Prime’s death have cause the makes of the Transformers cartoon to bring back Optimus Prime in a two-parter epic at the end of season three titled “The Return of Optimus Prime” which also causes the makes of the G.I. Joe movie to cut the death of Duke scene with Duke falling into a coma. They also cut out the funeral scene and also added extra dialogue in the film about Duke coming out of his coma at the end of the film.

Speaking of deaths, you know that Hasbro killed off Optimus Prime in the Transformers movie in 1986. Right? Well, Hasbro nearly killed off Twilight Sparkle in the My Little Pony movie just like when Hasbro nearly killed off Duke in the G.I. Joe movie 30 years earlier thanks to the fan backlash of Optimus Prime’s death from the Transformers movie since Duke was originally gonna be killed off in the early version of the film.
