True. Would only be a matter of time before they got into another serious argument.
And yet, I still can’t bring myself to blame her. Because judging by how that flashback went, living with her brother already wasn’t working then. And since then, she’s only become more adamant about helping people without respecting the artificial, oppressive limitations of the law. All while her brother’s been pulled deeper and deeper into the swamp that is “law enforcement”.
Somehow, I feel like them trying to live together again would have been a pipe dream, even with the best of intentions.
Yeah “fun”. Like getting beaten up by officer “Justifiable Force” and being one step away from getting caught and spending the rest of her live as
slaveprisoner in some hellhole. ;I get that she really doesn’t like her brother and his decision to become a cop but her stubbornness is one of the main reasons why her life went to hell.
she was dumpster diving rather than living with him before she got incarcerated:
her father was “drinking himself to death” two years prior, when atom was 17:
that’s all we know about it.
it’s entirely possible that she did prefer dealing with him than living in the gutter an dying like an animal, but instead of either of those, she took the third option which was much more fun: dodging corrupt cops, stealing heliodryl, saving lives, and making friends.
Also why couldn’t she go back home? Did her father die at some point or did they had a serious argument before she left? Because at this point shallowing your pride sounds a lot better than living in the gutter and dying like an animal because you can’t afford your medicine.
