First, you are right in stating that the Pennsylvania Railroad was responsible for the electrification of the majority of the Northeast Corridor (they were the first and only fully electrified Class 1 railroad in the US). The only stretch that wasn’t electrified by them was the stretch between New York Penn Station and South Station in Boston (which wasn’t electrified until after Amtrak was formed). However, I don’t know how the Pennsylvania Railroad has anything to do with the New Haven Railroad, other than the fact that both railways operated on different stretches of what is now the Northeast Corridor.

With a few fallen flags brought back has the few debating on bringing back the PRR when it is ironically they electrified a stretch of the northeast corridor when if many remember a few new haven FL9’s.

Do you plan on making images like this for any other historic US railways? I think it would be neat to see one for the old Pennsylvania Railway, the company that ironically built most of the electrified infrastructure that Amtrak currently uses on the southern portion of the Northeast Corridor (the section between Washington DC and Penn Station, really). In terms of western railways, the Denver and Rio Grande Western would be fun to see as well-what would the ponies that operate that line look like?

This is a truly fascinating callback to one of the most iconic railways to operate in the Northeast region of the US. I love the livery, and I am glad that (at least for a time) CTRail decided to bring it back for some of their commuter rail locomotives. It was truly beautiful to see those engines in operation, though unfortunately they did end up getting repainted into a newer custom livery.

Great tribute, my friend. As a massive railway fan, I definitely approve.
