When Giant Ponies and Creatures Attack - Episode 4 - Nightmare! Princess Cadence Attacks Las Vegas
Summary: Twilight Sparkle and her friends must protect Las Vegas from a giant Princess Cadence, who has turned evil after the dark magic has taken control over her. They also must save Shining Armor, who Princess Cadence is targeting after he stood in her way while she attacked the same city the previous night.
It was sunrise in Henderson, Nevada, and Twilight Sparkle and her friends are visiting a married couple, Noah and Emily King. Twilight and her friends have been so excited about the state, knowing that the state has casinos, hotels, and much more they are dreaming of.
“So nice having you ponies spend the time visiting us during sunrise.” Emily said, appreciating the Mane Six for visiting them today this early in the morning.
“No problem at all, ma’am!” Applejack proudly shook her hoof with Emily’s hand, feeling welcomed. “I just love how this city has popular things, such as hotels, casinos, and even more me and my friends plan on doing in the future!” She added.
“Yeah, and me and Applejack are gonna have a competition at the Sunset Station Hotel and Casino!” Rainbow Dash announces that she will take part in a competition with Applejack at the casino she just mentioned, playing games, and determine who can have all the big money between the two.
Applejack, rather annoyed at Rainbow’s decision, goes up against Rainbow’s choice, declaring, “And I’m gonna take you down and all the cash will be given to me.”
“I’m so happy that you would say that, cowgirl, because let me assure you, I won’t hold back either and the one and only pony who’s having all that cash will definitely be me!” Rainbow Dash told Applejack, feeling very confident.
The girls still can’t believe that Applejack and Rainbow Dash still have a rivalry within themselves, although Noah and Emily didn’t mind the two ponies going against each other in a competition at a casino where they will settle score.
“You two just can’t put that rivalry thing aside now, can you?” Rarity asked Rainbow Dash and Applejack, still seeing that Applejack and Rainbow Dash are both friends and rivals at the same time, yet Rarity herself is also friends and rivals with Applejack. “But if that is what you ponies want, then go on ahead.”
“Oh, just you wait, Rarity!” Applejack said, reminding Rarity that the competition between rivals and friends can never end. “Me and you are gonna compete in the same casino as I plan on doing for Rainbow Dash! Once I crush Rainbow, you’ll be next!”
“Gladly, I accept it!” Rarity, having an agreement with Applejack over a competition at a casino, was really determined she will be victorious against Applejack someday.
While Applejack, Rarity and Rainbow all agree on participating together and find out who among the three can have the big money, Twilight, Pinkie and Fluttershy have no interest being involved with what the other three ponies had in mind.
“Good thing they are having a battle at the casino and we aren’t.” Twilight Sparkle told Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, both feeling the same way as her.
“Yeah, I sure don’t like being in a competition for money either.” Fluttershy said, having her own thoughts about taking part in a contest for the big cash at a casino in Nevada, even if it isn’t Las Vegas.
“Well said.” Pinkie Pie agreed.
Noah and Emily can tell that there’s a mixed feeling among the six ponies between participating and not participating since participating might help participants earn more money and make them become more rich and famous, and can help them get a career.
“But you can get some prizes when you participate in a tournament.” Emily gives Twilight, Fluttershy and Pinkie some advice about try and participate in a competition for once. “After all, if you take part in a tournament, like Applejack and the other two ponies said, you may win some big cash you can take home with you.”
“No need for that. All of our families are rich as they are right now.” Pinkie Pie declined the offer, and she sees her family being very wealthy and she finds herself wealthy, too.
“I can spend some time with my family, being a on a zeppelin cruise together.” Fluttershy wishes she and her family took a vacation and have a great time together on a zeppelin cruise.
Twilight laughs so hard she couldn’t stop laughing about it all day.
“You know, I remember me and my family going on a zeppelin cruise once together and saw Iron Will.” Twilight Sparkle told Fluttershy.
“Wait a minute… Did you just say… Iron Will?” Fluttershy asked Twilight Sparkle.
“Yes, he was the one hosting the themed vacation experience on the cruise.” Twilight Sparkle answered Fluttershy’s question.
Fluttershy could know that Twilight Sparkle is not wrong about the part where she and Twilight both met Iron Will once, and so have Rarity and Pinkie Pie.
“I just wish I could see him in person.” Rainbow Dash said, having never met Iron Will, a minotaur that has interacted with most of her friends, except Applejack. “Man, he has had some awesome poses back then. They’ve been warming me up at the time.”
Suddenly, the door opened, and it was Twilight’s brother, Shining Armor. He was panicking, and looked exhausted over something terrifying.
“Twilight, you must save Las Vegas!” Shining Armor told Twilight Sparkle just as he was running towards her. “My wife has turned into a giant, her eyes are red, and she has been attacking the city just a couple minutes ago. “Princess Cadence is being evil!” He added.
“What?!” The Mane Six reacted in shock over what Shining Armor told them.
Furthermore, Twilight Sparkle was looking confused, and she thought her older brother was making this up.
“Wait, my sister-in-law is under the influence of dark magic, too?” Twilight Sparkle asked her brother, wondering whether or not this was true.
“That’s right. Like I said, her eyes are red and her magic is also red, therefore she is a villain at this current time.” Shining Armor answered his younger sister’s question, afraid he is telling the truth.
“But why would Princess Cadence ever attack Las Vegas during sunrise?” Rainbow Dash wondered why Twilight’s sister-in-law, who is also her brother’s wife, would ever do such a thing like attacking and destroying a city.
Shining Armor began his story, stating, “Not only has Princess Cadence attacked Las Vegas today at sunrise a couple minutes ago, she also attacked the city last night. When I was searching for my wife, all of a sudden, I felt the ground below me shaking and as I looked up, it was Princess Cadence, having red eyes and red magic, and therefore the dark magic has made her evil and be a villain.”
“This is getting outrageous!” Applejack threw her hat onto the ground in anger, hearing the news that the last remaining alicorn princess aside from Twilight ended up being evil. “We couldn’t even save Princess Cadence in time before the dark magic could take over her.”
“We gotta fight Twilight’s sister-in-law?” Rarity looked annoyed that she and her friends have no choice except dealing with Princess Cadence, who is now evil and is currently under the control of the dark magic, which gives her tremendous power.
“It was bad enough the same case happened with Celestia and Luna in Boston and Shanghai, and Cadence becomes the next on the list.” Pinkie Pie said.
Shining Armor was worried over Pinkie Pie mentioning Celestia and Luna. “You mean Celestia and Luna have also been evil and became villains when you fought them?” Shining Armor asked Pinkie Pie.
Pinkie Pie replied, saying, “Sure have, but we got it done and it was out the way in no time!”
The girls knew that it is not fair that Twilight Sparkle is the only alicorn princess who is still on the good side, since Celestia, Luna and Cadence all have end up turning evil after letting the dark magic take control over them, meaning they would be villains.
Twilight Sparkle walked towards the door, which was shut, and saw the sunrise being a bad morning for the citizens in Las Vegas.
“Come on, girls! We gotta get my sister-in-law back to normal!” Twilight Sparkle ordered her friends to come along with her as always.
“Wait, you gotta let me come!” Shining Armor stopped his younger sister and her friends from going out the door, knowing that he needs protection. “Princess Cadence is also planning on destroying me after I stood in her way the previous night, so I need you ladies keeping me with you at all costs.”
Twilight Sparkle, who took her brother’s hoof and show care for him, replied, Don’t worry, we got you covered.”
The Mane Six and Shining Armor walked out the door, with Rarity closing it with her magic. Meanwhile, Noah and Emily remained in the house, and saw that the clock is 7:23 AM.
“Do you believe the ponies will be safe in Las Vegas, rescuing the citizens from a giant evil alicorn pony rampaging through the city?” Noah asked his wife.
“I hope they can survive…” Emily answered, having nothing else to say right now.
Across the city in Las Vegas, Princess Cadence has still caused destruction over the place, people have been fleeing from her wrath, people tried escaping inside several buildings.
Princess Cadence laughed evilly as she fired huge magic blasts at three different buildings, killing anyone who was inside these buildings.
“No running away from me can save you mortals!” Princess Cadence told the tinies as she continued rampaging through the city, taking big steps, in which her hooves shook the ground and hoofprints have been left behind as she walked forward. “I am Cadence, the ruler of the Crystal Empire, and my objective is to destroy you humans and everything in this city!”
The tinies kept running away from the giant evil alicorn as much as they could, but she could catch up with them as her hooves had further reach touching the ground. Those caught between her hooves when they stomped on down got knocked away and fell to the ground.
Soon as Princess Cadence was enjoying the destruction she was having, the military and police officers stood in her way, forcing her to stop.
“Stop where you are, Princess Cadence!” General Mikey Robertson said, holding up his megaphone and demands for the giant alicorn putting her hooves up, otherwise they would do this the hard way with her. “You are under arrest for attacking this city and hurting these gentle citizens!”
“Oh, really?” Princess Cadence asked with an evil smirk look on her face, deciding she should play with the military and police officers for a little before she wipes out all of them.
Knowing that the dark magic and its powers are taking control over Princess Cadence, Mikey ordered his men from his military team and the police officers stand in a position and shoot the giant alicorn when he gives the signal.
“Alright, stay sharp, men!” Mikey warned the entire group, having an important duty they must do that they all must accomplish. “When I start the countdown from the number three, start aiming at Princess Cadence and do not stop. Ever!”
The soldiers and police officers held their guns at the right position, waiting for Mikey to give them the signal and fire at the giant alicorn who has been terrorizing the city.
“3, 2, 1, open fire!” General Mikey yelled, and everyone start shooting at Princess Cadence, hoping they can defeat her and become victorious.
The soldiers and police officers continued firing at Princess Cadence despite the fact she is still not even moving. They kept firing at her, but suddenly, Princess Cadence created a magic barrier surrounding her, deflecting the other bullets from attacking.
General Mikey then realized that the bullets are not working, and he was very shocked and horrified that Princess Cadence didn’t feel one thing hitting her.
“What?! That should not be possible!” General Mikey looked puzzled why the bullets became useless against the giant alicorn, who laughed at this pathetic attack the men have thought was successful, and they realized it wasn’t anywhere near successful enough at all. “They all fired at her, yet nothing worked on her! Come on guys, try again and fire even more!”
Before General Mikey could try and give his group another signal, Princess Cadence stopped him just as her red magic started activating, and she brought him over towards him, and he was now looking scared as he cannot break free.
“Let me go, Princess Cadence!” Mikey shouted at Princess Cadence.
“Aww, you should’ve thought about that before you and your group stood in my way because now I will destroy you all, beginning with you!” Princess Cadence told Mikey as she dropped him with her magic, only to fire a magic beam at him, turning him into nothing but dust.
All the soldiers and police officers reacted in shock, seeing that Mikey was killed, leaving them no leader. They dropped every single gun and started running for life. Unfortunately, Princess Cadence fired a bigger magic blast at them and destroyed them, too.
Seeing that all the military soldiers and police officers are dead, Princess Cadence started destroying the tanks and police cars with her magic and resumed her walk, leaving more hoof prints on the street.
People would still be no match for the giant evil alicorn who continued her rampage and killed more tinies along the way.
“More, more, more!” Princess Cadence laughed, wishing that all the citizens would be erased from existence and not a single one can live. “There’s nobody that will be saving you little ones from my anger and destruction! Scream and run before I destroy you all even more!”
While strolling through the city and looking for more people she can kill, Princess Cadence turned her head around and saw MGM Grand building, which caught her attention. She then walked towards it and crush it until the building is completely gone.
When she approached the building, the alicorn soon laughed and prepared to destroy it with her hoof.
“Once I raise my hoof and slam it on to this building, this building will be nothing except dirt once I smash it!” Princess Cadence began raising her hoof up and slammed it down on the MGM Grand building, destroying it as it was left with her huge hoof print on it.
Princess Cadence soon walked past the building she just stepped on with a single hoof and continue her rampage without anyone getting in her way.
However, Twilight Sparkle and her friends, along with her brother, have been witnessing this from behind the entire time without Princess Cadence even noticing them the whole time. They are shocked seeing the huge destruction Princess Cadence has caused throughout the city despite the day being morning.
“We gotta do something, ladies.” Shining Armor told the Mane Six, coming up with an idea on how they will stop Princess Cadence from destroying Las Vegas further.
“Okay, so what’s the plan?” Rainbow Dash asked, wondering how this will work.
Following Rainbow’s question about what the plan is, Shining Armor announced his plan, saying, “Twilight, Rarity and me will stand before Princess Cadence so we can combine our magic together. The rest of you, you all must stay behind Princess Cadence at every costs!”
“Sounds good. Now’s the time we go and chase after Cadence!” Applejack said as she and the others started running after Princess Cadence.
Continuing her havoc on the city, Princess Cadence let out a loud roar, making the citizens being unable to cover their ears, and soon she would destroy more tinies in her path.
People inside vehicles knew that the giant alicorn was proceeding towards them, and they jumped out before they could be crushed along with it, and they started running as quickly as possible.
“Run, she’s gonna destroy us!” One man shouted as he tried getting away from Princess Cadence, running on his feet as fast as he could.
Princess Cadence laughed as she trampled on multiple vehicles with her four hooves, and almost caught up with multiple citizens fleeing from her destruction. She soon fired a magic blast at the ones who couldn’t escape from her fast enough. Those who got caught eventually are destroyed.
“Oh, no…!” She’s hurting even more people!” Fluttershy reacted in horror, seeing Princess Cadence destroy more people while she and her friends still tried to reach her.
“We must hurry…! We must hurry!” Pinkie Pie told her friends.
“I will attack her with a magic blast from behind!” Rarity said, giving herself a chance where she can open fire at Princess Cadence with her magic.
Firing a magic blast at the giant-sized alicorn, Rarity unleashed her magic straight at the rampaging alicorn while she was walking. It soon hit one of her back legs, although no effect. Then, Princess Cadence stopped herself.
The other ponies looked unsure about what Princess Cadence would do next following the attack Rarity made.
“Teleport!” Twilight Sparkle said, using a teleportation spell, sending her, Rarity and Shining Armor front, which resulted in the three ponies all standing in Cadence’s way.
Wondering where the blast was coming from when she wasn’t looking, Princess Cadence turned her head around, and at first she didn’t see anything or anyone, but when she looked down, she was surprised that it was her husband, her sister-in-law, and Rarity, all looking ready for a battle with her.
“Well, well, well, if it isn’t Twilight and Shining Armor…” Princess Cadence gives the three ponies standing before her an evil smirk.
“Cadence, this ends now!” Shining Armor looked angry, preparing for a battle against his own wife who has been under the influence of dark magic, which turned her into a villain. “Even for my own wife like you, I cannot… let you harm these humans anymore!”
Princess Cadence couldn’t even bother listening what her husband was telling her.
“Such words from the stallion who stood in my way last time the previous night and is standing in my way again now today.” Princess Cadence laughed.
“She won’t listen. She’ll keep on talking until you say it into her face!” Twilight Sparkle told Rarity and Shining Armor, who both agreed and understood what she meant.
“I guess we have no chance except to fight her.” Rarity said.
The three ponies all stood in one place, getting started for the challenge against the all-powerful alicorn, Princess Cadence.
“Hmph. You three wanna go up against me, even though I’m huge and unstoppable?” Princess Cadence asked the ponies, who weren’t gonna back down from her, although she didn’t plan on backing down against them either. “In that case, let the real fight begin!”
The battle between Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Shining Armor and Dark Princess Cadence was just beginning. Meanwhile, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Applejack felt worried for them and they had hope that the three ponies will win and never give up.
“Are they really gonna win?” Fluttershy asked Rainbow Dash and Applejack.
“I hope they can be victorious against Princess Cadence and bring her back to normal because I’m stepping in just in case things get out of hooves.” Rainbow Dash responded, considering herself as backup whenever Twilight Sparkle, Shining Armor and Rarity don’t gain the upper hoof.
Shining Armor, Twilight Sparkle and Rarity unleashed the magic from their horns while Princess Cadence fired hers at the same time.
“Don’t stop, girls! Push back as much as you can so we can defeat Cadence and get her back on the good side.” Shining Armor warned Twilight and Rarity that they must win, otherwise he will never have the same wife he has had for years.
Taking the words from her older brother, Twilight Sparkle increased her magic beam so she could avoid struggling, and Rarity did the same thing. Shining Armor increased his magic beam so they can defeat Princess Cadence.
“No… I will not lose!” Princess Cadence refused to let the three ponies take her down so easy despite her large size.
Princess Cadence increased her magic beam twice, making it so powerful enough to push Shining Armor, Rarity, and Twilight’s magic back further, almost hitting them and they almost ended up losing the match.
“This is not good…” Applejack looked worried as she saw Cadence’s magic beam nearly hitting the other three ponies, and things are looking downright dangerous.
“Come on, you three! Push it up!” Rainbow Dash yelled, giving her voice as loud as possible so the others can outshine Princess Cadence.
Hearing the words from Rainbow Dash far away, the three ponies increased their magic beam as double so they can stay in touch with Cadence’s magic beam, and the struggle was still going with no end.
“We gotta keep pushing more…!” Rarity said, as they had no time wasting magic during the battle. “Now or never. We must get through this battle fast.”
“Come on, we can make it, we can make it!” Twilight Sparkle pushed her magic beam up a bit more so she could bring her sister-in-law back on the good side again, which is the side where she belongs.
Unfortunately, Princess Cadence was getting angrier as they kept on trying to defeat her with all the magic they have had within them.
“Alright, try this on for size!” Princess Cadence once again increased her magic beam five times compared with the others. As a result, her magic beam quickly pushed the other ponies’ magic beams back and was almost hitting them.
“I can’t even watch this…” Fluttershy turned her head around, afraid that things would be over for Twilight Sparkle, Shining Armor and Rarity because Princess Cadence was the biggest pony around and the dark magic controlling her gives her unlimited power. “They’ll all be defeated in one shot!” She cried.
“That’s it! I gotta step in and help save them!” Rainbow Dash started flying as quick as possible and flapped her wings fast so she can help save the day.
Twilight Sparkle, Shining Armor, and Rarity, still struggling with Cadence’s powerful magic beam, almost lost balance as they have been dealing with Cadence for minutes now. They would still not give up, even if it was the last thing they all can do.
“Blast it! We’re almost touching the ground…!” Rarity briefly turned around and saw herself almost losing her balance. “I can’t hold on much longer…!”
“Every time we increase our magic beams, Cadence increases hers a lot more compared with what we’ve been doing.” Twilight Sparkle tried to push her magic beam a little bit further, though it was not enough.
Luckily enough, Rainbow Dash came in time, protecting the three ponies from losing. Princess Cadence turned around in surprise, seeing her coming very fast.
“Time I finish this job and put an end to all of it!” Rainbow Dash said, flying around Princess Cadence at fast speed. She flew around the giant alicorn so quick, that Princess Cadence was getting very dizzy.
Seeing an opening attack, Twilight Sparkle, Shining Armor and Rarity connected each other’s horns, creating one huge magic and sent it right at Princess Cadence while she was caught off-guard.
“What? Impossible!” Princess Cadence saw the huge magic blast combined from the three ponies coming right at her. Eventually it hit her in the chest below, knocking her down.
With Princess Cadence defeated, the dark magic from her was gone and she started shrinking and then, she soon returned to her regular size self.
Fluttershy, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie all cheered for Rarity, Shining Armor, Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash saving the city and bringing Princess Cadence back on the good side again.
All the ponies checked in on Princess Cadence, and they noticed that she is knocked out cold. Her eyes and mouth were closed, meaning she was able to talk.
“Looks like she’s unconscious.” Applejack told the group, knowing the Shining, Rarity and Twilight’s combined magic resulted in Princess Cadence being knocked out cold when they defeated her.
Shining Armor holds his wife into his hooves, knowing he can’t let her go.
“Finally! No more giant evil princess ponies! That is finally finished!” Pinkie Pie was excited they set Princess Cadence free from the darkness that took over her.
“However, like the Wonderbolts told us before, we must continue on with looking for every other friends we have met for a long time across the real world.” Rainbow Dash reminded her friends that it is not over at all. There’s still many friends the Mane Six have known that may soon end up falling for this, too.
Twilight Sparkle was nervous, wondering what will happen to her sister-in-law. “But what about Cadence? I can’t leave her behind!” She told her friends that, as she didn’t want her sister-in-law gone forever.
“Don’t worry, little sister, I will take care of this. Big brother knows what he must do best.” Shining Armor said, as he promised Twilight that he will deal with the solution.
“He’s right, Twilight. You gotta stay with us.” Rarity comforted Twilight Sparkle, making her regain calmness again. “Ponies, creatures, they are all over the real world, and there’s no telling who will end up on the list that will turn evil soon. It’ll take a few days for Princess Cadence to wake up and have her consciousness back.”
“So far, the latest ones are Spitfire and the other three alicorn princess ponies.” Fluttershy counted, knowing who they have been dealing with up until now.
Now that they have figured things out, the Mane Six wondered who will be the next one.
“Still, we have so much friends, we may end up losing another if we don’t continue our journey right now.” Applejack told her friends as they should get going at this point.
“Why don’t we go and visit Europe?” Fluttershy asked, suggesting they try and go visit that continent, and see if anyone she and her friends have met is located within Europe.
“I’m alright with this.” Rainbow Dash answered, feeling comfortable heading towards somewhere in Europe. “We gotta go search for the others, and there’s so many friends we have to look for across the entire world!”
Twilight Sparkle used her magic so that a portal can appear. Her friends quickly walked into the portal except for Applejack, who turned around and saw her still not coming yet. Twilight walked towards her brother and hugged her for a moment.
“Shining Armor, please take care of Princess Cadence for me while me and my friends search for the others, alright?” Twilight Sparkle trusted her older brother that he can help solve the situation while she is gone.
“No problem.” Shining Armor replied. He and Twilight Sparkle waved goodbye at each other, knowing they will be missing each other for a while.
Twilight Sparkle caught up with Applejack and they both walked through the portal, which closed afterwards.
Though all three alicorn ponies, and also Spitfire, have been released from the darkness, the Mane Six still must continue looking for the others, who could soon fall under the dark magic next. And they know that this is a hard task, but they must get it done one way or another.
Shining Armor, carrying his wife with him, searched for a nearby hospital so that Princess Cadence can feel better and wake up in a day or two.
The Mane Six are heading for Europe, but where are they? Nobody will know.
