Description

Dash had finally found a cloud hidden enough between all the others where she could rest for a while before moving on. She quickly took a peek around, frantically searching for her perpetrator. Not coming into contact with anything, she sighed in relief before sitting on her haunches and grumbling underneath her breath.
“Stupid belly having to grow so big. Why didn’t you stay the same as before.”
She heard a chuckle and drew a breath of annoyance before turning her body to face Soarin.
“I’m surprised I managed to catch you,” he smirked.
“You wouldn’t if this stupid pregnancy thing didn’t throw off all of my senses!”
Soarin chuckled again before quickly looking her over sadly.
“So, are you okay?”
Rainbow Dash looked him in the eyes. He held so much care and fear in those beautiful, deep greens. She sighed.
“I’m fine, Sore. You really need to stop worrying. I was just taking a quick swim,” she joked while she stretched her wings for emphasis as she shifted into a more comfortable position that her prominent belly would allow her.
Soarin watched her shift before quickly responding, “But didn’t you say that the doctor prohibited you from flying after the five months?”
She stared at him with obvious annoyance. She watched him flap his wings to keep him afloat before she bent forward and spoke.
“You are such a Sore, did you know that?”
Soaring flew in closer.
“And you are such a troublesome mare. You really need to stop being such a damn daredevil and listen to the instructions the doctor tells you, please!”
“Soarin, you weren’t even there. He said it would be fine for the first week, but after my body would let me know when I really had to stop. I told you he suggested to stop after the five months, but my body says its just fine,” she cringed as she felt the pain in her back from carrying a little to much weight. She quickly lifted one of her two back legs onto the cloud to try and relieve the pain.
Unfortunately for her, Soarin saw. That was the last straw.
“You might be carrying the foal but as your husband,” he paused to fly in a little closer, “I have a say in how you are to treat our child and that means I can advise you on how to treat your body and our child.”
“You talked to Twilight didn’t you?” she deadpanned.
Soarin only smiled before quickly giving her a worried glance.
“She warned me about this, a premonition? I don’t know. She told me she felt your rebelliousness would increase with the hormones of the pregnancy or something like that. I guess she was right.”
Stupid pregnancy throwing me off and stupid Twilight for being so damn smart!
“Dash.”
Soarin’s tone of voice told her he wasn’t arguing anymore. She lowered her head in defeat before sighing in annoyance again.
“Fine.”
Soarin audibly sighed in relief and gave her a thankful smile, before quickly frowning at the cute smile on her face.
“If you plan on doing this again, I’ll have Spit relieve you off duty and then take you to Twilight so that she can lock you up in her castle somewhere where she can take care of you by reading you all the pregnancy books in her library.”
Dash’s smile had been wiped off her face.
“You’d do that?”
Soarin smiled sadly.
“If I have too.”
Dash rolled her eyes.
“Do you know how much of a Sore you are?”
