Description

The old door into the abandoned manor creaks as I push it open, Inside, the building creaks in the wind and dust covers everywhere inside the mostly empty house. I sigh hotly, my cheeks blushing. I couldn’t quite understand it, but there was a scent around this old place that compelled me towards it, a smell that went right to my brain with good feelings. I close the door behind me and walk around the place, the smell was everywhere and it was having an effect on my body as well. As I trotted towards the stairs I felt something impact ant adhere to my hind leg. The scent had clouded my brain so badly I just slowly looked down at my hoof to see it had a sticky mass of web stuck to it, my eyes followed the silk and I spotted a HUGE spider, staring at me. I just sort of looked at him, the scent effectively suppressed any fear or need to run. The large spider then started reeling me in, I lazily fell over as he pulled me closer.
I didn’t feel worried at all, not even in the slightest as I laid limp, my brain was just blank and soon he was upon me. Knowing I was utterly zoned out, the spider took his time to gently pick me up and carry me down stairs to the wine cellar. My eyes glanced around the vast wine cellar and saw it was draped in webs all over the place, with slowly breathing, pony shaped cocoons sitting against the walls, tangled in cobwebs, hanging from the ceiling, laying inside large broken open kegs, and glued to the walls, they were all over the place.
The spider then laid me on the dirt floor, this room was thick with that smell, it was so heavy in the air each breath I took was slow so I could savor the scent, washing pleasure across my brain over and over, wiping out any thoughts besides lazy and sleepy bliss. The spider stuck a thick strand of web to the ceiling to serve as my new home. He picked my up and effectively glued my hind hooves into the wet silk, so strong it could hold both my weight and his as he crawled over my limp body. I then felt hot and wet silk stick to my legs as the spider started to weave webs around me, the wet strands oozed glue, bind to each other and my fur, I moaned softly, the wrapping web was thick and warm, like a cozy blanket. The wrapping progressed to cover up my tail and cutie mark under bright white silk that hugged my body so tightly, immobilizing me. Still, I put up no fight, I was in a sleepy daze and despite the threat of death or whatever this thing would do, it was…nice. The spider was careful and gentle as he slowly tied me up. As the web reached my hips his hind legs moved my fore hooves to behind my back, sticking them firmly and wrapping over them to seal them behind me. Now I was completely helpless to escape, like a fly in a web, and I couldn’t care less, I was in heaven, the nice web and the mind melting bliss I was in erased any desire to escape.
I just wanted to let him do whatever he wanted to and enjoy the bliss. Soon the wrapping reached my neck and the spider stopped and small a small ball of silk and held it near my mouth. Figuring out that was for, I opened my mouth wide and the ball was stuffed into my mouth, filling it up. I closed my eyes and moaned again as he continued the wrapping around my face, shutting out my eyes, he then stuffed silk into my ears, before wrapping them to my head, deafening me completely. I weakly struggled, letting out a quiet and pathetic moan, I then felt myself spinning as he wound even more webbing onto me, around and around I was spun and when it stopped the cocoon was so thick it felt like a form fitting sleeping bag, a warm, cozy, and very personal sleeping bag. I felt him hug my cocoon close with his many legs in a full body hug. I then felt something cut two holes for my nose, I could force breath through the thick web before, but now it was easy to breath. Then the spider stopped hugging me and left me to hang.
For a moment I steal a minute of clarity and put up a fight, struggling to effect anything, but no dice, I only manage to swing around. I feel something grab onto my cocoon and turn me around, Then something blows into my face, filling my nostrils with that sweet perfume and my struggles and any and thoughts of escape are wiped out and in their place is bliss, so pure and encompassing I swear I can hear very soft and gentle music and see a place. A great big field of grass and flowers within a valley, with clouds slowly rolling over, casting god rays down from on high. It’s there my livid dreams return to, this gas inside this place pretty much keeps us in a livid dream, I loose all grips on time and reality and I slip farther and farther into myself, some days I find myself moved, the spider seems to do that a lot, and it’s the only thing that reminds me of the situation before I doze off and return to that blissful field. I don’t care if I never get rescued, I love this, I never want leave this place where I’m cared for and have livid dreams all the time. Why would you ever want to leave?

Student report on new large arachnid species,
This new spider type is a cobweb spinning spider that prefers living in deep burrows and caves where it can hold it’s vast amounts of victims they will accumulate. They are very similar to cave spiders in burrow construction, however, the way they lure prey is vastly different. This type emits a concoction of chemicals with it’s venom glands that vaporizes in the air when mixed together. The resulting gas has a purple hue and is a powerful hallucinogen that causes drowsiness, livid dreaming, deep sleep, and paralysis. Once a prey item has been subdued by the gas, the spider then secures them with web, wrapping them up and storing them inside it’s burrow. Like most cave spiders, they feed off of auras and radiate preservation spells to keep their victims alive forever. For their unusual capturing method, I will refer to them as “Gasser Spiders”.
For the sake of science I captured one and placed it within an abandoned building and observed. My subject lured and caught a surprising amount of ponies, easily handling them, at one point it even managed to lure and trap a griffin. My subject caught a total of 37 victims in a one year test. Just like cave spiders, Gasser spiders can also be spell bound and obey instructions given either verbally or telepathically. However, the gas is an odd mix and some parts with rise and other parts are heavier than air, collecting in closed rooms. This causes the outer areas to have a gas that only cause minor confusion and calm, and other areas that can put ponies to sleep.
This is truly a fascinating species that I will study further in great detail.~
