A lot of bronies think that Rainbow Dash would be incapable of showing any sort of motherly affection due to her personality, but that is simply untrue. All sexually-reproductive creatures have parental instincts, including us. These instincts are the entire reason that we are capable of finding something “cute” and/or want to coddle them. Kids are annoying, but they’re also cute if you watch them enough. And the latter tends to override the former. Especially if there’s a sort of parental pride involved.

I myself can entertain and handle a 6-year old chipmunk for about seven consecutive hours and get out of it with only a small headache, and I’m only 19. But I’m really great with kids, so that might not be a good example. Eh. My point still stands.
