Not always, some people like it. But any ship has its detractors and supporters, and cross overs seem to be something a lot aren’t into. And even in-franchise shipping is a problem for some. So you’re talking about a crossover shipping, and now the image starts with two “hurdles” to clear to get a good score, so the Art has to be just that much better to overcome any beefs, biases, and bitching against its sub-genre.
Crossover shipping is a challenge. Unless the thing that is crossing over already has a universal appeal, like pic related.

Yeah. Someone was talking down to me and treating me like garbage because she assumed I was abusing my “male privilege”. All I did was post a comment about the image I was on (which had something to do with society not telling you to be yourself).
Other than that, not really. I don’t count YouTube comments as run ins anyway. But if you do count them, probably dozens.
