If they can make Goku Black work, then shouldn’t be terrible. At least he won’t have that stupid grudge against Goku, and he’ll have an interesting personality that people have been complaining that he lacked since his movies premiered.

Kale isn’t going anywhere so stop acting like she’s being replaced. I find it hypocritical that you have a problem with Toriyama’s Broly (who is a blank slate and not the same character we know from the old movies) giving Goku a hard time yet you’re okay with Kale who only recently unlocked Super Saiyan in less than 40 hours and managed to hold her own against him in SSB in both the anime and manga. Like I get you like U6 Saiyan girls, but come on. I say this as a person who doesn’t even hate them.
 
Anyway, I can’t wait for the trailer for the movie to drop at SDCC so we can get a better look at it.

My issue is that by the end Kale in SS2 and Caulifla in SS2 had to double team Goku, while Broly will probably require Mastered ultra Instinct to take down, so Unless they end the movie by showing Kale has long ago surpassed where she was it will be used to boost Broly’s fans egos and make Kale look bad, tho is they actually wanted to do something cool they could have her be the one to beat him, by having Goku and Vegeta fuck up and let his power level get to high and him break the potara they were planning to use incase that happened, so the new plan to stop him is Get kale to go berserk and keep her in the fight long enough for her power level to catch up with and surpass Broly’s,

And a SS Broly Kale was able to manhandle everything up to and including SS Blue Goku.

Remember SSB can be no stronger than base form depending on power output and she tried to use her controlled berserk form and her and Caulifla were still overpowered in the end
 
But for real having Kale’s Berserk go against His would be great, especially if they have a moment where Vados points out that Kale’s restraint is slowing down her own energy level growth allowing Broly to stay ahead of her, so they need to both piss her off and make sure she stays focused on Broly, Cue Caulifla evil grin, and then her outright flirting with Broly, and everyone’s eyes going wide so even Beerus and Chappa clear the fuck out, then we get the fun of Broly being on the receiving end of his own old schtick, and it looking like Kale will beat him to death, however once Caulifla sees that she’s actually crying she talks her down so Broly is battered but still able to fight base form Goku for the grand finale with Goku using his martial arts skills to beat him now that Broly is stronger but still completely a brute,

Kale and Caulifla’s whole thing is being wetter behind the ears that a singing seapony, so naturally the moment Goku’s power level rose to something approaching their’s the humiliation followed pretty quickly. Both of them have plenty of room to grow, so being dominated by SSG certainly isn’t their maximum potential.

I love that throughout its whole television history, Toriyama has said what amounts to, “Oh, I guess I did/made a thing back then, huh?” basically a shrug of god, so to speak, and then the entire fandom hotly debates/discusses it like it’s the Unified Field Theory.

I know right? Like I remember whole bunch of theories and headcanons as to why saiyans lost their tails. Finally just a few years back we got Toriyama explaining why and the answer was literally “I just decided to stop drawing tails.”

Sometimes I think that Toriyama has some weird case of dementia, where he forgets everything he doesn’t care about. But maybe he just hit his head as a little baby, after being dropped by his grandpa.
