You know, I just thought about this:

I think before the Rebels were able to get a decent amount of Mon Calamari Cruisers, they used N-B’s as their main ships for combat against anything that ain’t an ISD and therefore probably repurposed the medical bays for something else.

So up until their fleet had some Major Capruitalser Ship firepower, they likely didn’t store very many medical supplies in their N-B’s and likely moved all those duties to different ships for the most part.
