That's not _*entirely_* correct. The issue is not in getting the protein, it's the variety needed. A true vegan would have to eat 6 or 7 different plant varieties to (and in higher quantity) to get the same proteins that eating beef and chicken would give.


 
The proteins are there, just harder to get and much more expensive.
