Pokemon General [SFW, No NSFW]

I wish I could get Lapras before the rival fight in Blue. I’m not looking forward to that fight at all.

I don’t have an issue with them at all. In fact, I find the design complaints just as annoying as you find them.

Yeah, that’s really annoying.

You know what’s funny? In all of my playthroughs of Leaf Green (and Fire Red when I used to have it), I’ve never been able to do the Elite Four rematches because of how much grinding you have to do to really stand a chance against them.

I get the complaints, though I do agree that most of them area bit hypocritical exaggerated.

I think the bare bones nature of Kanto was a reason why the staff behind the generation 1-2 anime took a lot of creative liberty that gave us a collage of weirdness that had little to nothing to do with the games, to draw interest in it. They didn’t have much to work by.
 
By later generations they were able to have the anime follow the games more closely as the franchise became more fleshed out with it’s lore, and the fanbase having become more “matured” with the franchise by that point. More people wanted the anime to follow games.  
The anime. Like it or not, was originally conceived for the purpose of supplementing interests for their games. It was and it still is primarily a toy advertisement. Kind of like, I dunno. The show that brought us all here as a community?

That makes sense, and likely part of what happens in the Adventures manga, though I still don’t like the first gen of that series.

I still want Yellow from Pokemon Adventures to make an appearance in the games.

That would also be nice. I like how her Let’s Go appearance is a hybrid of sorts of her original unused Gen 1 design (which of course was used for her Adventures counterpart) and her FRLG appearance.

Also I think it would be cool if both Kris and Lyra appeared in a game together.

Generation 7 anime took the most liberty in deviating from the source material games since the gen1 anime. But at the same time, they’ve become more hideously blatant with their advertisement in the episodes in the Sun/Moon anime than any other generations that preceded

Gen 5 of the anime was when I dropped it, and I haven’t regretted it so far.

I think it was kinda cool. The 7th Gen was advertised as diverging from the standard game formula of 8 gyms then an Elite 4 and champion, however imo it wasn’t really that different. Trails were just a different name for gyms and there was still an Elite 4.
 
However the anime went completely into new territory for the series, turning it into power-rangers.

Honestly, I think that the trials were different enough to shake things up a bit. I still prefer gyms, though I do like the trials.

Gen 7 was possibly the worst generation for Ash’s team other than gen 5  
He didn’t have any other Pokémon in his team, he barely had any good evolutions besides the three main starters and Lycanroc.  
If they’d kept Ash with Solgaleo and he’d gotten a Nagadenal, his team would’ve been more justified.
 
It wouldn’t be surprising that ash lost the alola league due to his god awful team.
 
At least with his gen 5 team Ash had bit more diversity of Pokémon on his team with Palpitoad, Krookodile, and hell even Leavanny.
 
His team for alola is just straight garbage.  
Having only Rowlet, Torrocat, Pikachu, and Lycanroc as far as I can remember isn’t gonna win anything.
 
Hopefully for gen 8 Ash will get his grip together again and get z better team, if not then there’s just no point of keeping Ash as the main plot armor.
 
I know someone said on here the don’t catch Legendaries on the show mainly due to them being viewed as gods, but that’s still no excuse to not have at least one, and I mean and at leeeast one Legendary on your team.
 
I know for a fact Legendaries are despised upon mainly for them being poorly used by Legendary Assholes. But besides all of that, Ash should at least be able to use at least one or 2 Legendaries.
 
Not ALL the Legendaries in Pokémon are considered as “God’s”, Legendary Pokémon such as Mewtwo, Keldeo, Manaphy, Genesect, The legendary dog/cat trio of Johto, and even Meloette aren’t really considered gods as most people think.
 
The only Legendaries that are and can be classified as Gods are basically all the box Legendaries and for literal sense even Arceus who’s the god of Pokémon himself

I just disliked how in both sets of Gen 7 games, after you finished the main post-game story arcs, you were left with not much else to do.
 
I think Platinum and B2W2 had the best post-game content.

I cleared out the building of everything before the rival fight, which I expect to lose to quite a bit, so I’ll train Kadabra at the fighting “gym” than use up my money at the casino to get some tokens for Porygon.
