When I was in grade school, 4 billion was the maximum population of the earth, at which point the human race would collapse and enter a period of endless war over exhausted resources.
We got the "endless war" part right, at least.

No one. Yesterday a jet flew over my house. Just one. First one this week.
Time to move - it's getting too crowded around here.
I've lived and worked in Tokyo, and commuted through Harajuku and Shinjuku every freaking day. This planet has so much room for more people it's ridiculous. American cities by comparison are freaking empty forests with just one person every now and then.
