Not necessarily. I can't speak for the Tanakh as a whole. But for the composition of the Christian Bible it was not written or composed by desert warlords but fairly middle class Latinized Greeks or lower rank Roman nobility, and the New Testament written by Romanized or Hellenized (at "worst") Levantine/Jews. Not Middle Eastern warlords.
But even the most "Middle Eastern Tribal Warlord" part of the Bible/The Tanakh contains a story all the same of King David telling his people to stop judging some foreigners based on the weird shape of their dicks because they're cool.
Also David's first wife getting erased from history for calling him to gay for dancing around naked in the streets and handing out free flowers.
