I did the same after giving up my genocide run, after Undyne thrashed me. Was mostly rather underwhelming, to be honest. I’m glad that I didn’t waste my time more on it.
 
Afterwards, I did a neutral run, where I killed nearly everything, which is actually possible (for me). Gotta admit, that game does make you feel kinda bad about the nasty deeds you commit and I say that as someone who isn’t easily affected by such things. The death I felt the worst about was Muffet’s. She dies immediatly, but the spider crawling to where she was, then fetching a rose and lying it down… well, that had a certain something.
 
After that, I started a pacifist run again, because I felt like it.

Okay I’m sorta kinda interested in this but I’m not sold yet.

So in the Best Friends and GameGrumps playthroughs of Undertale did either of them kill toriel?

I’m having a hard time watching those two playthroughs. I keep wanting to slap their hands off the controler/away from the keyboard and do it properly.
 
The Best Friends are trying to do a pacifist run and they keep going for the fight option. Never, ever do that if you really want to do a pacifist run because its entirely unnecessary save for one specific instance that you’ll 100% know when you see it. Its way, way too easy to accidentally kill a dude you wanted to spare.

It always drives me crazy when I see playthroughs of games I know, especially when I see people fumbling at things that are second nature to me.
 
Thing is though, I know that this is unfair of me.
