I’ll opt to believe him on the assumption that the majority of the site staff do still have the well-being of the community in mind.
So far Raptorshy was the only one I actually believed.
But even though it is an uncommon language, any experienced programmer should be able to understand the basics and be able to read the code without much effort. The site code is actually pretty clean and easy to understand for its scale, so I can’t say that there was any attempt to make the source inaccessible to anyone. That is also quite a ridiculous claim when Philomena was open source from the start (as opposed to the previous software).
