Fair play, i was mistaken and i apologise.  
Whether it was prepared a few weeks or minutes ago doesn’t change the fact it was a canned response though.  
Nor the fact that we cant trust “It was only two people.”  
Nor the fact that such a feature is shady on pure principle.

I am not sure if even said “actual staff input” can be trusted with how RIDICULOUSLY CANNED AND BUREAUCRATIC it is. “There there become pacified you’re totally not worked up BECAUSE YOU HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT CANNED RESPONSES AND OPAQUENESS SO FAR”

That’s also a big problem, what with multiple admissions that the site staff list (and by association, the tag) is completely meaningless because the staff can just hide themselves/each other off of it willy nilly while maintaining staff permissions and accesses.

I’ll opt to believe him on the assumption that the majority of the site staff do still have the well-being of the community in mind.

I won’t bother echoing what everyone has said already about the Moderation team and trust, but I do want to point out this one line in particular:
 
“Bans are handled through deliberation of all active staff members at the time a specific report is being analysed considering site rules.”
 
I hope you understand that given that multiple mods and admins spent this entire clusterfuck acting entirely based on their own strong feelings and clearly without internal consensus, that this is a sentence that is literally impossible to believe? Every ban in the site’s history has been handled through discussion with active staff? What does the staff consider “active?” Any staff that replies in a day? An hour? A five second window?
 
Do you have any way to prove this was only applied to two people, let alone ban evaders?
 
I’ve never interacted with this community before because I always treated this site as an archive for pony art and didn’t see the point. For the most part, I don’t feel particularly strongly one way or another about whether or not offensive art is left on the site because I don’t think it actually addresses any of the problems people think it’s going to address, and an alternative is already online for those who want that sort of thing, so, whatever. But god damn, You didn’t have to make it so easy for the conspiracy theorists. Even as someone who isn’t part of the community, this all has to make me wonder what else you’ve got going on that actually is affecting users like me.

Honestly? I do believe this one. I mean, we’ve already had someone point out that it was pretty much right out in the open there for people to find.

And I know there are definitely some rather annoying and persistent ban evaders out there, so… yeah.
