So at any point is this going to become a thread that actually makes amusing alternate endings at all? Because the opening post suggested Theelinker as inspiration, and while he wasn’t above messing with the characters he at least has a history of making animations that are funny. The posts here, on the other hand, are beginning to feel like another round of the “this is what I hated about this episode” game, but now you can make the characters say it.
 
I mean I’m sorry to be complaining about this, but I’ve been frustrated with some of the discourse in the forums lately and I was honestly hoping there might be something fun here. If I wanted yet another string of diatribes about what episodes sucked and why, I’d just go back to the season six episode discussion.

Even with Fluttershy’s help, the tornado fails to manifest
 
Rainbow Dash: Darnit! We were soooo close! Why didn’t you help us Spitfire? Equestria is doomed now!
 
Spitfire: It’s against the rules for me to participate in the compe… wait what?
 
Rainbow Dash: So, the competition is more important that Equestria? Even I wouldn’t put everypony in danger for a game!
 
Spitfire: What are you talking about?
 
Rainbow Dash: We need water for rain and clouds and stuff. Now that Ponyville failed, all of Equestria is gonna not have enough water!
 
Spitfire: Uhhh… you do know we can get the water any time. We just let the towns get us the water for a sense of community. The only thing on the line was town pride. I can go to Cloudsdale and get 400 pegasi from the Weather Factory and we can wrap this up in half an hour tops.
 
Rainbow Dash: Oh.
 
Spitfire: Where did you get this idea that Equestria was doomed if you guys didn’t do your job right here and right now?
 
Rainbow Dash: Force of habit I guess.

It might be hard to believe, but to some of us those are amusing, warping the show lets us vent frustrations in a way. We still care about it, but understand that it ain’t above criticism and every now and then deserves to be made fun of. :P

I can usually tell when someone’s just being humorous with this kind of thing, and when someone’s just angrily venting and using the characters as their mouthpieces. And then there’s that one Cutie Re-mark thing that one BP did that was legit touching.
 
Most of this thread is pretty clearly meant to be humorous.

There was one fanfic that takes the “We could end up doing this forever!” line to an interesting conclusion. Twilight and Spike keep being sent back to alternate presents and back to the past many, MANY times, but towards the last few they start getting rather… murderous, and in the last one they outright KILL Starlight rather brutally… only for it to turn out to be a nightmare Starlight’s having, and the real Twilight comforts her about it.

I read a fanfic like that, except it was Starlight Glimmer who killed Twilight Sparkle and Spike.

well… there’s really nothing stopping you from starting. it doesn’t matter if you can’t write or not. none of us are expecting shakespeare. but like demanding something you yourself could contribute from a community-driven thread is kind of silly.

Cart Pony #3: We don’t care what you and our passenger have going on. She paid us fair and square. Just because you have some stupid issue with her doesn’t give you the right to break other ponies stuff!
 
Several ponies ride up in the distance
 
Townsfolk: There they are sheriff, those are the ponies that stole my cart!
 
Cart Pony #4: And they’ve been harassing us as well!
 
Sheriff: Ma’ams I’m going to ask you to come with me. Me and my boys have some questions for you.
 
Twilight: Looks nervously at the others Book it girls!
 
Twilight and Co. sans Applejack rush out of there.
 
Sheriff: Ugh I better go get some reinforcement.

Seeing this thread makes me wish there was just an Episode or a extra on the dvd’s of just fake outtakes/deleted scenes. :) I like this.
