Naming Background Ponies Thread!

Are they in the show/movie, though?  
All of the Seaponies are in the big song and dance number.

The management suggested/requested we not name Mac Jr. But instead come up with a placeholder tag in case IDW names him.

Well, in that case, we could name anyway and later, alias to whatever name IDW comes up with.

Why not just big mac and sugar belle’s child for now?

Well, sugarmac spawn would also work, but seems a bit rude.
 
Little Mac from Punch-Out!! probably should have his own little mac (punch-out) tag, though.

Characters from other series should ALWAYS get lower priority than characters from any MLP gen, regardless of tag numbers.

Someone on Twitter thought of the name Ambrosia for Big Mac and Sugar Belle’s son which I personally like, and if I’m remembering right I think Big Jim himself retweeted it.

Well if the placeholder tag is going to be some kind of name, then my suggestions were Sweet Apple and Cinnamon Apple
 
I also saw someone suggest Muffin Mac.

Cinnamon Apple wouldn’t work, we already have a character named Apple Cinnamon.

I don’t keep up with the comics. (Though I guess I should start now…) Do we know already when the first Season 10 issue will get released?  
If it’s just 2-3 months, I’d also vote for something like big mac and sugar belle’s son, at least until we know if it even takes place after the timeskip or not.  
If it’s regular hiatus length of more than half a year, then I feel we need a proper name, even if it’s only temporary, just so people can talk about him without everyone using 5 different names.

Not sure why Cinnamon Apple would be such a problem.

The comics, it’s not till summer next year or something. Not entirely sure what it’s going to be about. Last I checked didn’t even know if they were doing after ceremony or in the future.
 
But I really encourage the comics. They’re very good, Hasbro gives them a lot more freedom. Some of the worst comics are like decent episodes; the writing is very good.

Is the tagging system unable to distinguish word order? Physically impossible or we just wanting to be more distinct?
 
I figure if Clear Sky and Clear Skies are ok, inverted name should be fine.

It’s more along the lines of lessening confusion between the two, with Clear Sky and Clear Skies, it’s obvious between who is whom, but with the above, it sounds like someone mistakenly flipped the above character’s name around.
