I do however have an idea for a symbiote based armor. Much more effective. The substance is near indestructable and once bonded can do whatever the wearer needs.

Cerus’s present private security immediately get to work by jamming all surveillance equipment in the exhibit.
 
Some of them then reveal plastic shroud rolls brought in duffel bags, along with a licensed laboratory-grade nanofabricator. One of the security runs a scan on the cyborg’s remains, then in almost no time at all, creates convincing and functional mock-ups of the cyborg from the nanofab machine, complete with emulated fire-damage, to lay in place of where the fire had burned.
 
All the while, they keep sending concerned looks at the isolated swarm of black bubbles roiling within the floating spherical shield in the other room, too dangerous to concealably salvage, but complete their task by wrapping up the remains of the cyborg and machine-lobster into the plastic shrouds spread across the floor, then place them inside controlled-containment receptacles masked inside other spare duffel bags.
 
When finished and packed up, the scene looks identical to how it was before they began working.

The Lunar-Sec survivors and reinforcements that’d shown during the event had retreated to outside of the Cabinet entrance, waiting for special weapons and tactics groups to arrive, but seeing the chaos resolved, as well as the survivors as thankful witnesses, Cerus, Sada, and their private security are all free to leave.

(I might type down some fluff on the remains if they’re studied, as well as some information from the diamond grape, if your character finds a way to read extropian neural pathings _{^{cough-cough psychosurgery cough-cough}}. I’m going to share this stuff with Cobalt though first, if he wants to make something else of it.)

From what he can see the serial numbers on most of his core parts match up, but a lot of external components seem more recent, like he had just undergone some seriously extensive repairs

Kev inferred this from the stutter, trail off, and change in attitude(at least, it looks that way from over the computer).
 
In hopes that Ms. Breeze does not interfere to call him down, Kev ensures it is making eye contact with the ponyroid, the overall posture/body language being what would be used to keep someone’s emotions from escalating, even if Kev is interacting with a ponyroid instead of a flesh-and-blood pony. Kev’s voice tones down to be more gentle and, perhaps even understanding, “hey. If you need to take your time, we can wait- and if you want to go somewhere else, we can. I don’t think you’ve forgotten.”

the ponyroid is silent for a moment, having difficulty calming itself down before speaking again “I am sorry, sir…” its voice seems to tremble faintly “but… I think I wanted to forget.” Autumn’s eyes narrow faintly, her expression stern as she seems to be considering possible alternate courses of action if it continues not to cooperate

Kev moves over some in order to be between Autumn and the ponyroid. “The memory will always be there, even when you want it there the least- all it needs is something to trigger it. I need you to be strong and tell me, and you’ll at least be able to know that we’ll be ensuring that no one else finds what you found.” Kev gives a soft, reassuring smile.

soon enough they have returned to the labs of Metamorph, a cell knitter booting up and offering its’ service as soon as it registers Sada was injured.
 
“i’ll also be downloading what you expect from the symbiotic armor so we can get to making it fit the demands.”

(The armor will act like oobleck, but controllable and wearable to the users preference. Stops bullets, heat resistant, etc)
